Thread: NPC Patch is great!

Meh this fix needed to happen for a long time. Before the game went out of beta actually. Though if it was intended for happening, they should have changed it then and not now, that's the main problem. I don't know about Beebl, but I am a top 3% player, I'm ranked 28 on server 1 with 517k prestige. I think that proves it. Also, I don't know if anyone is backing their bark, but I may very well just quit. I'm preparing to do so by giving all my resources out.

The problem is the the polarization of the two sides. There is no quick fix, but endless testing. That's the real problem here. Information being sent that "This is what will change, please understand the game is going through testing" rather than "Woo! We're out of beta, now we're going to suddenly change something!"

All the new people cry and whine about "Ha! Now I won't die. You big people needed to be nerfed!" but in the end, you have to realize that once you understand the scope of the game, you'll be angry that the big people were nerfed. The game, as said before, becomes stagnant. Only allowing people to reach their food limits before not being able to do anything at all.

Sure, you can make lvl 10 cities (If you pay money) and all 10 city slots, but there will still be a limitation to how much you can support. (Not to mention they will all probably be lvl 9) Regardless, major issues rise from these sudden changes. Newer players love the nerfing, older, much stronger players hate it.

Newer players just have not played the game enough to realize the issues from stagnation yet.

Stop calling NPC farming an exploit. There is no hacking/glitching/botting/duping going on. It is simply utilising the game mechanics to one's advantage. This is the way the game was coded, and people doing it are playing entirely within the constraints of that code.

The people making assumptions about how the game was intended to be played may be correct or incorrect, but this is not a ****ing exploit.

There was simple solution to all this. Anyone on server 1 and 2 should had been blocked from farming barbs. Guess players from what server are bit***** the most of about this "bug". Guess players from what servers have gazllion warriors and what. Why the hell should people from server 3,4 ..onwards pay for misdeeds of 1 and 2. So shut the frak up about bug just because you can exploit it. If it is not a bug for most players, it's not a bug.

Based on what? Earlier they were some players lying around your city and now they might actually be source of gold and food? Yeh, I can see safety in that.

They don't care about that. All they care is as long as the guy next to you isn't getting significantly stronger than you, despite the future ramifications.

good player adapt in any situation..noob player are those whining all the time..
    ADAPT to it..

Valin :- the different between tribalwars have cap on wat that can be buildt in a single village because there are no limitation on the number of village you can hold..as long as you have the resource to mint coin and get nobles..this game stops when you reach 10 village..thats the different..+ people paying real money have the super advantage than those not paying..

That's how TW gets their money though, by supporting massive players. The more villages you have, the more it becomes a neccesity to have a premium account. There are no limitations on how much you can grow, ie no items needed for max level, but the more you grow the harder it becomes to play without that PA. I'm kinda glad that there is a city cap here, but no matter what the devs decide to do, people will always complain about what the top 20% of players do. The more things they "fix", the more players who don't really belong in the top 20% will drop off, and those that do belong, will step up and take their place, causing that group to only become stronger as it has more people who can adapt and come up with new and better strategies. A good gamer will always play a game to the fullest. No changes to the mechanics will change that.

Great post and sums up my thoughts brilliantly. Key points: This should have been fixed in BETA, not now. The food and troop limit will equate to a stagnant game and players will get bored and quit.

If the game developers want this game to last, these points need to be noted and acted on quickly.
