Default So, as far as reinforcing allies who are suppressing....

How do you do it? Because when you are suppressing (as the Suzerain) you send troops to a camp at the enemies city. Allies cannot send to that city (says colonize, but then denies them the ability to send anything) so what, do allies reinforce your Suz city embassy? That would make no sense, since the troops would still be back in the Suzerain city instead of at the camp of the enemy city.

Of course the same thing holds true during an uprising. Both cities can reinforce through their embassies, even though obviously either the Suzerain or Colonies armies are going to the other, but at least you don't actually have to send out a camp on that one.

Very confusing, the Evony makers NEED to publish and maintain a manual for this game, since they change things on a whim constantly. The mechanics aren't even there to reinforce, so at least let us know how we are supposed to subvert them and do it.

Default Explain the June 3rd update then, please...

We've been working hard to address player concerns and fix bugs. We're working on addressing every issue one by one. Here are today's updates:

    June 4th

    Age II World
Fixed: If players who are at war join the same alliance, the war will now automatically end.
Fixed: An error was sometimes causing the colonize bar to stick. That has been corrected.
Fixed: The "Enquire Details" function for the heroes Peter and Appianus was generating an error message. This has been fixed.
Fixed: Some coordinates for heroes were display incorrectly. This has been corrected.
    Age II Client
Fixed: The error "Input name is empty" would sometimes be generated when Enquiring Details. This has been fixed.

    June 3rd

    Age II World
Improved: Troops from a Suzerain's alliance will now assist the Suzerain in suppression battles.
Fixed: A bug would sometimes prevent Enquire Details from working correctly. This has been corrected.
    Age II Client
Fixed: Notifications would sometimes block the tutorial and cause display problems during the tutorial. This has been corrected.
Fixed: A bug was preventing alliance members from reinforcing their allies who were being colonized. This has been corrected.

Excelent point. However, I have not seen any way to do it yet.

    And yes, I have tried.

I suspect it is just a typo or misunderstanding related wording. Your allies can assist in the colonization battles.

However I have no "official" explanation on the issue.

Well, it is plain wrong to have the stronger player be able to get reinforced in order to keep a colony under supression. That is madness. I mean, players run around colonizing small weak people and new players just out of BP. First off, that is poor form. people need to go fight someone their own size and stop picking on new or weak players. The smaller one struggles to build up and is just barely able to muster the troops needed to uprise. But guess what? The Suzerain gets reinforced and the smaller player cannot break the oppressive chains of their Suzerain. Very very poor decision to allow the Suzerains to be able to get reinforced in order to keep a player colonized. One of the main concepts of Age II is empowering players to rebel and overthrow stronger players. That way no player can consistantly remain on top. Why make it EASIER for stronger players to remain on top and HARDER for weaker players to become strong? That is 100% bullying. And I am 100% against Suzerains being able to get reinforced in order to keep aa colony supressed. If a Suzerain cannot manage their 100 colonies and keep them supressed on their own, then that Suzerain has no business owning 100 colonies and needs to scale back to 20 colonies.

Of course you are making the assumption that the person attempting the colonization is the bigger guy. How would you expect someone to take down a high-end player without be able to do this? A small alliance can make a big dent in him if they can help reinforce their attempted Suzerain. This would allow a low-end to stand a prayer in hitting him. And by the way, the person I am hitting has been reinforced with over four times the troops I have, that's why we were all wondering how it works. Anyway, this post wasn't meant to be a soapbox, I was just looking for the directions as to how to use a game function, according to the updates.

We assumed suppression means suppressing an uprising. During the actual suppression for colonization you are on your own as the attacker.

Your alliance can reinforce your city, and uprising suppression settings are done on a percentage of troops in that city.

In colonization suppression you are reinforcing the one wave that is already camped there. We tried sending a hero with a players reinforcement waves and the hero just returns when the reinforcements arrive.

Army Movement shows the one wave with the reinforcing troops added to it and the hero that lead the wave that started the colonization suppression timer.

    Default age1

i play age one and by far its a much better game then age 2 in my opinion, in age 1 u don't have colonization you either take the city and its urs or u lose a city if u can't defend it, the heros are not capped all in all age1 is a better game then age2.
