    Congrats.

Costly and crude, but effective. Yes, the general principles of the 12 are appropriate for the 14, but the design of these waves suggests you've still got a lot to learn about those basic principles. You have to achieve trade-fire with the enemy archers in order to emerge with any sensible amount of losses.

Quick question.. after clearing cavs and pikes/swords with layered arch waves, to get trade fire and take down arch before wars, send layers that are slower than the arch or no layer at all?

Congrats btw, and rep for you for posting xD

If you hit a Historic with the Cav/Sword/Ram combo, you can achieve trade fire once you kill the Cavs.

When and how you achieve tradefire with archers is very different from pike-cav-ram, to sword-cav-ram. Ideal layering in each is also different elsewhere.

For sword-cav-ram, you get tradefire if you clear the CAV in 1 or 3 rounds of battle. You don't need to clear the sword to do this, and in fact, clearing the sword can be a problem due to the extra move your archers make forward.

For Pike-cav-ram, you must clear both Cav and Pike.

In both cases, the trade-fire is about engineering a round of battle in which both sets of archers move. The defensive archers act first, if they see no target they move. If your own archers also see no target, they also move. There are plenty of guide posts elsewhere in the forum that explain this.
