Thumbs up A sign of hope?

For awhile the players with "HUGE" armies where unable to be touched. All the new patch did was level the playing field just a bit. its not like they took out all barb cities. All they did was make barb Cities more like us production wise. I mean seriously big whoop, if you were living off them u should have known that they would be nerfed sooner or later. If they have not been nerfed it would have been a server full of nothing but giants who could not be hurt. Most people say "I am gunna prey on the new and weak players" well even with that you will only hurt yourself and the game. I mean seriously think about it, if you attack the new players they will just quit and most likely close the account they have and soon after the army you have will starve anyways. If you think about it, you are not mad about the nerfed npc's you are more mad about the "no warning" of it happening. I agree that was a bad move.

The game should go back to beta testing it should not be live and they should have a warning when buying game cents that states the following; This game is still up for changes, some of which that can harm the massive amounts of troops that you have. You ban use the cents on troops but it is highly suggested that you don't. If you do use your game cents on troops we take no responsablilty for the actions u have just done. If the game changes you have been warned.

Or even another solution make it to where players can not buy troops.

Overall the patch was not bad it was the lack of warning to the patch that made players upset. And hey if the big players quit good for them that just leaves us more safety in the game. And i say this with a lot of thought, do NOT make more npc's it will not help the game at all!

I simply do not understand this mindset whatsoever. The playing field was always level - everyone had the same opportunities. Now, with the patch, the ones who used what was available to grow large armies are the only ones who will have large armies, and now instead of npc's being farmed players with smaller armies will be farmed. Why anyone who didn't bother to grow a large army thinks that those of us who did will simply let our troops starve or dismiss them is beyond me - we'll find the food we need, no matter what it takes. Even if that means using those who didn't as farms or taking their cities to use for maintaining resource levels.

Resource management just got far more aggressive, and trust me, no one is going to lay down and go to sleep. Remember, it was the aggressive ones who realized they could do this in the first place, so if you didn't keep up until now you'd better learn to get aggressive and stop looking to the dev's to win the game for you.

You don't buy troops. You buy Napolean's Diary which can be used to speed up the building of troops

The problem wtih this "fix" is that it didn't level the playing field as you said... the same abilities are there... nothing has changed really, just what we need to do to maintain the same incredible levels of troops we did before...

    follow along with me...

before... I used to farm two barb8 town... multiple times a day... providing me enough food to support a -5 million army...

I made some new barb cities within miles of my cities...

now... I farm four barb8 towns and four barb9 towns multiple times a day... providing me even MORE resources now than before...

So now I can have an even larger army but I've taken up 6 more spaces in the game with NPC cities that didn't exsist before... and I am going to probably make a dozen more overall surrounding me... because I expect others to start coming in and trying to get the border towns since they'll be closer and they expect the inner towns to be empty already...

So what has changed with this "fix".... nothing... I simply consume more space now which leaves less space for new players... I still have the large army, in fact its gong to grow now... I was worried at first but why, nothing has changed...

The real question will be, when do they change how many barb towns are allowed in the game at any one given time... and cause people to pool towards the barb towns, or how are they going to make them destroyed for 24 hour periods once attacked and regenerate someplace else on the map... to stop people from constantly farming them... thats when they'll almost fix it, but you'll still be able to do it...

Exactly, I thought at first this was screwing us over...but now that I have given it some thought...I guess the creaters of the game are going to be the ones that suffer from the patch the most!

My point, so let's not exaggerate.
And it is a minimal speed up and you still need all the resources and idles.

Maybe the devs need a beta server? Lotta games have that, people can see what's coming, and games can dev the product before making a royal ass of themselves.

Listen making new barb cities is not the answer its a dumb move! make more npc's less room for new players and a more laggy of a server all it will do is cause more problems. the more u make the bigger the soon to be new problem gets.
