So we all know that the Historical Heros are limited in number and that a few strong players have most of them. Bummer right? Wrong. I am colonized, all 9 of my cities. My Suzerain has like 12 Historical Heros. As of today I have 2 of his. What does this mean? It means that if you want a Historical Hero you can do it the hard way or the easy way.
The easy way is to let some players who have Historical Heros colonize a few "bait" cities you put out there. Then someday do an uprise. If you win you can capture one some of their Heros. It is far easier than outright attacking their city because you will need to fight their defenses. But with uprise/supression battles it is troop against troop, no defenses, no Archer Towers, etc... And guess what? You did not pay game coins to buy the location of a HH and go there only to find it was already captured by someone. So throw some bait cities out there and let them get colonized. Keep gates closed at all times. And when the Suzerain has some Historical Heros in his city... do a real uprise. And if you win, you will probably cap one of the heros.
Playing from a colonized position allowed me to capture TWO Hisotrical heros within 10 seconds of each other. Here are some pics of the battle reports.
Notice the first uprise wiped all his troops (which were not that many for a 3+ mil pres player) and capped a Historical Hero. The second uprise was planned to finish 10 seconds after the first one, so, NO lOSSES and ANOTHER Historical Hero was capped.
