I'll look into whether there are bugs with level 5s and 10s being cleared or leveling up at odd times. Again, our goal with this is to increase player interactions. If your alliance is at war with 12 different alliances simultaneously, that is a diplomacy problem, not a game mechanics problem.

Our original vision with Evony is that players would not have armies larger than they could support with food production. Players soon learned they could grow their armies well beyond that "soft" limit by farming and rather than launch draconian policies to prevent it, we decided to go with it and let players farm and grow their armies.

However, we want players to use their large armies and that means opening flats up. Evony is a war game. Be ready to fight!
