Abolutely agree, thats why many players get annoyed with evony. Evony make incorrect assumptions and false statements. I am glad that you see that too.
1. Many players and payers have developed the npc fields, spending many many hours/days working on it and therefore are naturally upset when evony changes the rules without sufficent notice.
2. Calling players cowardly (and your statements make this reference clear) for being upset about the sudden change in rules is not gonna endear you to them. Such statements will only lose evony customers. And most players with large npc fields are customers. They have been playing the longest.
3. The reason behind the changes may be valid, and evony has the right to do whatever it likes with its game, what it does not have the right to do is make light of the discomfort those changes cause to its customers. Show some respect for those players who liked the npcs, who have been loyal evony players for months or even a year. Calling them Farmville players is not respectful. Players use that term as a insult.
4. One reason for this change is also to encourage players to play Age2, where this change is accepted by now as standard.
5. There were other methods of fixing the issue, including the code change to allow new players to appear anywhere a npc or flat was, and allow teleporters to randomly select npc or flat areas would have resolved the issue without taking out a large amount of npcs. And it would have been easy enough to do, as demonstrated by the fact that evony can easily distinguish between player npcs and original npcs in age2.
