    Default Might as....

well not colonize at all if you get a plenty for it..... why should we get punish for colonizing someone who couldnt defend themselves? I mostly colonize players who in no alliance and look inactive, if you cant handle being colonize then quit the game, Age1 deal with attacking and taking over another player city, but at least with Age2 you can keep your city, and earn it back by uprising....

Its not a new idea. I seen many comments on it already.

I'd love to see people choose and evaluate whether or not its worth colonizing a target.
The best way to do that is to compare the benefit vs the liability... except right now there is no liability. So impose one.

    Can we:
    • 1. Impose a penalty for each city that you have Colonized?

    • 2. Drastically limit the number of people you can Colonize?

    • 3. Limit who can be Colonized by their size?

    • 4. Attacking a Colonized target (by an Ally) without penalty during War. Ally will not defend. But also can't be taken.

    • 5. Restrict a Colonized target from attacking Valleys while under protection.

    Example:
    • 1. 1 City = -2% Loyalty

    • 2. +2 Cities per Rank

    • 3. Can't Colonize or keep a target with a Prestige less then 25% your size.

    • 4. An Ally can't Colonize a target you have, but can attack it freely during War. Ally can't defend. But also can't be taken.

    • 5. Colonized targets (by an Ally) can't attack your Valleys outside of War.
Actually, Colonization isn't such a bad thing. And guess what? The victim of colonization can turn it around really fast if he uses some imagination.

Consider that your suzerein can use only one policy against you once per day. You can figure out when he sleeps and move them back when he is off line.

Hell, you can plunder all his valleys then abandon them. Again and again. After all, what can your suzerein do to retaliate? Colonize you? He sure cant conquer then nuke your city.

This thread is a joke, colonizing someone is already not worth doing, are we trying to make an already broken game mechanic even worse... Raygar there is already almost no reason to colonize someone, and you want to impose "more" liability?

yeah you must be joking.... b/c if anything evony should make colonizing someone more appealing.. b/c atm theres almost no reason to colonize an active player.

While there are lots of tactics you can use, I strongly disagree with valley dumping, it only makes the suz hate you, not respect you. There are loads of ways to fight back, all clever and effective, but what you suggest is similar to egging his door night after night, annoying but you will not get free doing it and you will only make him strike at you in a similar fashion, and your friends.

As far as the OPs logic, there needs to be more penalties for BEING a colony not for colonising someone. You should be able to attack your colony for resources for instance to punish it if its being excessively troublesome.

Valley dumping is seriously annoying, but I have found that it is usually done testing your will. Once you prove you are willing to fight for them the lame valley 1 scout attacks end.

Wow bro, that sounds kinda harsh....
Remember, some players of Age II quit once they get colonized because they view it as "losing".
Now, if we add MORE tools and tactics that Suzerains can use to FURTHER oppress (i.e. "Discipline") their colonies do you know how many MORE players will quit??
Call me Silly Billy, but I don't think that's what Evony wants. And if I was running a gaming company then that is something I sure as heckfire wouldn't want. I would want AVERAGE gamers to stick around and play a long time. Not give them more reasons to quit. And I stress AVERAGE players. Not the die hard Age I blood lusters.

Getting "hurt" is not what Age II is about. That is so Age I....

Sounds like you are one of the non-average blood luster Age I players who love to grind people into the ground and rule with an iron fist.
Well, that is not Age II. That is so Age I, like, so yesterday....
that quote is for age2 also
AND whats wrong with capturing someones city and then preceding to abandon it?

    btw: nice edit there
