I keep hearing about this golden age of OT. It must have been short lived.

Or was it just a time when a select few thought they had control of this section and now cry a little whenever they don't get their own way?

Please don't bore me with any more discussion about how many rules that we need to have in place and how many police we need to beat us over the head every time we choose to respond in a way that is not pc or the current opinion of what is pc, as that seems to change from day to day. Hey! Here's an idea. If you don't like it (general members) ignore it. If you think it is too much, then report it and leave it at that. if you don't like a particular thread, stay out of it. If enough people dislike it, then it will soon vanish into the depths of obscurity, never to be seen again. If a thread sticks to page 1 forever, then there must be enough people who support that thread to keep it there. Anyway, this is an internet games forum off-topic section. I don't think it was ever meant to be a place for serious discussion by serious people about serious issues of great import. Then again, I don't think it was ever meant to be a place where a small group of elite members could sit around stroking each other's egos all day. (I said egos!)

There are a couple of things that I might like to add but I know they probably would break certain rules so I refrain from doing so because I am an adult and I know that I can't always say exactly what I might want to all the time. That's just the way the world is, deal with it.

    Now FoxyBunny.
You and I don't always see eye to eye on what is acceptable or even what is funny sometimes. That's fine, I don't expect everyone to agree with everything I say all the time or even to apreciate my twisted sense of humour but you and enough other people do think I am funny enough sometimes, or posted something interesting enough sometimes to have given me rep occasionally. That doesn't mean I expect any special rights in regards to the rules as I am just another forum member as far as I am concerned.

So why am I posting on this thread you made and why am I less than happy with it's intent and content? I am not sure why. Maybe because it just seems to be an over-reaction to some minor issues that come up from time to time. Maybe because it was always going to become a war between the mini-mods and the other group of 'usual suspects'.

In the meantime I am looking at a forum section that is less active right now than at any time that I can remember. That could be a temporary situation that is totally unrelated to this thread, I don't know. But let's face it, you have opened sections for subjects that used to be a part of this section and that must have had some affect on what does end up getting posted in this section. If you open a section for graphics and sigs, then that is where the threads of that type will go. If you open a section for serious off-topic discussion, then that is where threads of that type will go. All of that used to be a part of this section. If you limit what can be posted here too much then members will wander off and find other ways to waste their time, maybe on these boards, maybe on others.

In the end, it just doesn't matter that much anyway, so why so serious?
