I don't like your way. Granted, there is a time and a place for publicly pointing out improper behaviour, but typically doing it privately is better. The bandwagon thing only makes all of the people who jumped on it look like bullies, morons, and mindless followers. Every time I see one of those threads where everyone jumped on the bully bandwagon, I think back to the epic "What is your zombie plan?" thread and have to fight the urge to stockpile flamethrowers.

If you do it publicly, you not only make yourselves look bad in most cases, but you only serve to anger the target of your attacks, anger the staff who has to deal with the flames, and anger the rest of the community who have to wade through the crapola to get to the original topic of the thread. It's disruptive and a very good example of the sort of thing that should never be tolerated here. It's part of the problem. Do you get that? Do you get that far worse than any spam here were the non-stop "OMG this is spam" posts that would flood every thread that was written?

If you do it privately, discreetly, you leave the person an honorable set of options. They can respond to you in kind with red rep. They can send you a pm or vm to air out the issue. They can ignore it. All responses are reasonable and none cause public humiliation.

It's time to grow up and get a clue. Red rep is a good way to show your negative opinion. You have a right to express that opinion, but you don't have a right to make the whole forum suffer for it.
