Thread: Moderators IN GAME

  1. #1

    Default Moderators IN GAME

I had a conversation with one of the moderators and he informed me that they do not have in game monitoring.

If that is the case, what is the point of the harrassment thread on these boards? What is the point of the technical threads?

If we as a community are wasting our time, shouldn't they be deleted?

The servers have been hyperspammed. We all know that issue. When money is being put into new servers, upgrading them, and all that is wasted by spamming, you would think the dev team would actually play their game as to monitor the good and bad in the system.

Yes but then they can deal with it by going in the game. They mean on a daily basis they don't monitor it.

Subscription based MMO's have a 45 minute to 4 hr wait time for a CSR.
Having on in a free game that has more bugs than a $30 motel room is just absurd.

If monitoring the servers was a priority, there would be fewer of them and more frequent inactive wipes.

A Monitoring system would be ideal but even still the moderators are humans not robots, the more volunteers that jump the more cleaner the spam filters stay.

The purpose of those forums, originally, was that there was not in-game report function. Now that there is one, the forums have been rendered slightly obsolete. However, the admin does still look through them as do a few of the other higher ups, and they attempt to deal with things, in-game as far as I know.

That is correct there are no in-game moderators.

The spamming issue is currently a problem, especially with all the war message spamming, however, while I have no information on that, I have suggested, (and I know that the suggestion has at least been heard) that we implement a filter on the alliance names, and it was also suggested to remove the war declarations.

Again, while I don't have any details my educated guess is that they might be working on fixing that issue for age two, rather than dealing with it in when they are planning on scrapping the first age anyways.

And combining both you still can't stop the constant child abuse and racism spam. Does evony support this? If they are wiaitng to deal with it thats more or less a yes. If so please say so we can forward the info to some activist groups.

While I do not speak for them, based on the fact that they have set out to attempt to prevent it and stop the issue, by setting up the in game reports system, and the harassment section, it would seem they do not support it, for the record I don't either, I however simply ignore the spam at this point, the exact same way I ignore advertisements on the various blogs, forums etc I visit.

Furthermore, where in my post did I even come close to saying they support it, please do not create things from my post that I did not say, I simply pointed out the two methods of reporting the issue, and that one of them was slowly becoming less used.

If you wish to continue this please PM me, and I will attempt to answer your questions as best as I can.

In game report is useless cause nothing ever happens - this is the 4th day on server 3 that war spamming has been going on ... it gets reported by many people but anything people hear about it - we will get back to you within 24 hours - where in the universe are the devs from if it takes 4 days to get back to the people who write in game reports or other issues the in game reports bring up.

    Truest statement ever.

Lets see...about 20-30 mails on various losses of troops and resources during server crash, several exploit reports, 5 or 6 mails on missing purchased stuff, several harrassment/racist/hate reports, a number of questions on clarification of game rules, and a single test question about buying game cents.

Take a guess which SINGLE mail got a reply to within 15 minutes, and which were all the other ones completely ignored.
