I will tell you two things that may make a difference:

1) People have to post to make changes take effect, I believe.
2) The forum "ticks" every hour (I don't know if it is ON the hour) and does updates at that time if the person is online and posting. Therefore, someone who came online just now and posted something might not still be at their proper rank.

Looking around, I see a few that confuzzle me. I have strong reason to believe some of you should be higher rank than you currently are, so I am waiting for the server clock to tick up and hopefully update those for you.

depending on you title depend on the amount of smilies and pic you can put on..

Civilian-Knight = 2
baronet-baron = 3
Viscount-whatever is next (cant remember) = 4
just keeps going up like that..

then also depending on your title says how many clubs you can join (does not apply to those that are in more than than their title)
Civilian = 1
Knight = 2
baronet = 3
baron = 4
keeps going up like cities in game but once you hit prinz you can join as many as you like.

from Civilian-baronet you can add upto 2 rep points to any body without having to wait untill you have spread soom around..
baron- to viscount = 3 rep points to anyone before having to spread any around
ect..

anyways to get back on topic, here are some serious discussion ideas(btw im not saying theyre good, just tossing them out there):

-poverty in 3rd world countries and hwo to stop it
-ending child labour in aforementioned 3rd world countries
-pollution and the greenhouse effect
-sustainable sources of energy
-protecting marines life from oil spills and other disasters
-whether atmoic and hydrogen bomb testing should be continued above ground (curently it is all under ground, away from population. near the end of the Cold War a treaty was signed to end atmospheric testing)
-how people act to try and fit in
-related to above, why people act the way they do around others
