I would say the average player gets less than 5 mats per day, far less. You are an exception.
Now, is this REALLY an issue? The extra materials? For the average player, no. But 5 years down the road it may well be an issue. But who knows what will change 5 years down the road. Maybe Evony will have made Age III by then. Who knows. But for now, I don't see excess materials as an issue.

P.S. And you'd be surprised to know what you can accomplish playing from a colonized position. Just different styles of play my man. Every warrior has their weapons of choice. You may laugh at the warrior who uses a long long stick while you hold a sword. But if they know how to use the staff well you may find yourself on the losing end of a fight.
you really are clueless and dont pay attention to what you say do you? you say at 20 materials a day it would take 3 months to get all the materials, well guess what... NA1 IS MORE THEN 3 MONTHS OLD! and that doesnt even count the 100s you could get a day from valleys before the nerf. with a few hundred scouts and a low level valley next to your city, you could easily attack that valley 300 times an hour, much more if you were really on top of your abandoning, and guess what else dropped alot more during this time... AMULETS! so even back when the game was new spining 40 ammys was very possible, guy in my alliance would get 100+ a day. so yes, this is really an issue more then you think, as far as your 2% bet, does that mean 2% of people that have excess in all materials? or 2% that have excess in at least 1? because getting excess in the horse and wood is pretty easy seeing as the limited use of them, wouldnt surprise me if half of NA1 has excess in the horse. as far as what a casual player has and gets, well you get what you put into the game, if people dont attack, they receive drops less, plain and simple. you probably havent attacks valleys 300 times total, let alone 300 times an hours. you really should stick to stuff you know, which currently doesnt seem like much.

ps- you laugh while being colonized playing with your stick people, i laugh while i draft thousands of troops from my colonies daily. hide them if you want, if i get 0 from the city i scout the valleys around the city, find and kill them.

Nah that doesn't work against Japanpimp because he stores all his troops in ghost cities, inactive cities his friends made for him from other servers, they just log in once a week so they don't get removed.(Clearly a exploit of how inactive accounts are removed)

Again, we are not talking about the 3 months on Na1. We are talking about Age II. All servers. Not just a 3 month episode on Na1.

So the OP posted that he had this problem, several people agreed, but yet you've spent all these posts arguing that there is no problem?

I hit my head sometimes when I get in to my car. Other people don't. That doesn't mean that I'm not annoyed when I hit my head. You don't have excess materials. Others, including me, do. So....we are going to continue noticing that we have excess materials regardless of how big of a group we are.

FYI, I know of several dozen players on na3 that have excess materials. I would venture the number of people - coiners or not - that have excess Lost Armors is huge. They still drop like crazy on na3.

Fine, so a few players have excess materials. But it is not an issue. You guys are saying it is an issue but it is not. If a few people hit their heads while getting into their cars, it is not a car design issue and the car maker does not need to redesign their entire product line just so a few people won't hit their heads. For something to be an issue it needs to have a impact on more than just a few. Last I checked there were 34,380 player accounts on Na4. You guys are talking about a few dozen players or even a few hundred. 343 players would be 1%. So you guys are trying to raise an issue that is only effecting LESS than 1% of the players. So, that is not an issue worth considering now.
Will it be an issue 5 years down the road when the percent grows from 1 to 40%? Yeah, I'd call that an issue that may need attention.

So I am not arguing that it is NOT a issue. I am saying the excess material issue is so small that it does not even need to be raised.
