Talking the pen mightier then the sword!

Means that knowledge is better then power. And as of late this has been proven in this game. The so called "best" who had huge armies and had to feed them with the pillaging of the npc cities only used brute force. The "medium or noob" players are the ones who built armies they could feed or only put them in negative food production by a few thousand or more. The "Best" are starting to quit due to the lack of resources now, and the "Noobs" are growing on the fact that they played the game smart. To complain about the so called "Nerf" of npc's is wrong. I think just about everyone could guess this would have happened sooner or later. If it never happened then u would have just about every player with hundreds of thousands of troops and wars would rarely happen. Overall in the end the so called "Noobs" are actually the "best" for playing the game a bit smarter then the so called "best." Thus the pen is mightier then the sword! This is the proof that everyone needed to play the game smart instead of trying to find a tiny path around the actual game!

Thank you for the time to read it plz post your input on this

It isn't that they played smart, it's that they didn't have the resources to play '1337'. Part of the argument is that we bigger players had a chance to farm the NPCs, while the newest and smallest people didn't. Thus our armies have had major surpluses, and the smaller people are stuck with squat. I personally can still feed my very nicely sized army, even though it's more difficult. I'm 99.9% Positive they're going to change something about the NPCs again.

due to the massive amount of players actually quitting the game im sure they will tweak the nerf a bit. It will not go back to normal but it will most likely be tweaked.

I'm positive it won't go back to normal, as much as i'd like it to. They have made huge errors in the way they are running their game. I've seen private servers for other games do better than some of the stuff they are doing here. Yes I will admit, most of the work for the private servers is done by the original game makers/owners, but even they announce something before they release it, and let people have their .02$ American on it.

A simple poll with an explanation of what they were doing would help out their company a lot. It's like your girlfriend coming up to you one day and telling you that she hates you for no reason that you know of. It isn't until 5 hours later that she tells you that she slept with your brother.

They should hire a PR person.

Someone whose job it is to face the inferno that is a game developer's forum trying to bridge the communications gap between devs and players.

I really want to know where people get this list of players who have quit over the change. I've only seen one person actually say bye. The rest are really just letting the devs know their dissatisfaction over this change. I also don't see how changing the NPC respawn rate will cause massive starvation. I can still feed 500K+ in each village with little problems, simply by changing tactics. Put in a little more effort than you did last week, and you can get about 75% of the resources you used to. Sure, some players who used NPC farming as an actuall exploit will now starve, but the other top tier players, who got there through planning and knowledge of the mechanics, will still dominate the servers. In the end, true top tier players will only get stronger over this, and smaller players will get farmed off the map. If NPC farming was the only way you knew how to compete in this game, then you deserve to have your troops starve. Adapt and excell. That's what the game was a month ago, and it's how it will be a year from now. No nerf can change that.
