That "History" was really biased and unreliable. It was partly done for the stated reasons, partly to glorify a few certain people, and partly as a tool to bully or villify those they didn't like at the time.

History is written by the victors, or, in this case, the only person that decided to write a history.

Since it's the only history that has thusfar been written, it's also the closest thing to the truth.

If you feel that strongly about it's bias, you can either write your own version or deal with this version.

Well said. The history written quite well documents major incidents as long as you ignore the Editors Notes.

I love this creation myth because it flatters me. But the truth is that before I was a mod, I was too scared to post in OT. It used to be a very intimidating place. Even when I became a mod I watched my step. When you hear people wi****lly look back to the "OT Golden Age" you need to remember that not everyone was like chinothepony or drizztix. It was a section of the forum that confused me and I felt disenfranchised as a result.
