another theory abt 2012... nostradamus never mentioned this date on his writtings but he said somewere around the 21st century, the world would experience a huge change..

again, no doomsday, but yet based on 2012

    another theory...

several writtings from ancient egypt, early china and japan and maya civilizations were found to have said something about "space men" coming to our planet and spreading technology and knowledge...

do u honestly bolive egyptians made those pyramids themselves? with exact accuracy to orions belt?

do u honestly bolive that the mayans made all their astronomical theories with no help at all?

    i doubt it..

the aztecs also bolived that the space men would return one day, they mistook this by the conquistadors from europe..

also, the mayans didnt die by small pox... they disappeared with no return, no evidence of anything... so idk why u would say small pox.. maybe u got it from european plague, idk..

anyway.. the fact that space men made their way here isnt something i would say is doumb... the universe is imense, u cannot base yourself to bolive we are the only ones, or the ones with best technology... so wen the mayans made their calendar, they prolly made 2012 as the time the space men would show themselves to our world once again...

but these are just theories, what you bolive is for your self only
I believe you are mixing up quite a few things here. The Aztecs thought the conquistadors were a specific type of god of theirs returning to them, all religion has something about gods returning most never say when. Not one civilization ever had any predictions about spacemen coming.

Again, the mix up I think you are making is ancient Sumerian beliefs. Also tied in with the year 2012 by speculation only. They believed their gods would return after a specific cycle of time. The good part is, this can be verified because it was carved in stone. The bad part is, because it was carved in stone it is impossible to tell when it was carved and therefore when that cycle of time started and when it ends. Many have tied this to the year 2012, but again purely by speculation.

The ancient Egyptians believed in Osiris returning, and according to every bit of translations from all Hieroglyphs involved he had returned before Egyptian civilization.

China, I have not studied anything about any returns except for the great dragon. Japan, never delved far enough into they ancient religions to find out what they saw returning. More than likely it was also the great dragon, since even in China the belief is that the great dragon flew from Japan to china, on the way it lost a finger on each claw(don't remember the exact story of how).

Mayans never foretold of a return in 2012, but of a rebirth of time. This is why their calender ends on 12-21-2012. Mayans also didn't just disappear, besides many thousands of deaths due to smallpox, the Spaniards were attacking all their cities, raping, pillaging, and enslaving (the usual). So many Mayans went into the jungle to escape the Conquistadors. Guatemala has an area that is nothing but Mayans, to this day they speak a different dialect and still follow many traditions of their ancestors.

Now, lets take a look at ancient technology. Yes civilizations built massive structures by themselves aligned with terrestrial bodies. Just because it was in stone does not mean they were stupid. Ancient Greece had steam engines and Greek fire which we still cannot replicate, ancient Egypt had advanced surgery practices, Mayans and Babylonians had advanced agriculture we still can't figure out. The Celts had gold coins and actual paved roads, Native Americans had roads and trade centers in the south west that provided trade all the way to Canada.

Just because these things were 600 hundred to twenty thousand years ago, does not mean people were dumb and could not accomplish what they have.
