Friendship question...

If I ever did that, I would probably end up telling the freind out of guilt anyways, regardless of what their reaction would be. Id rather confess than having that hang over my head liek the blade of a guillotine. If I didn't tell them, I wouldn't feel liek a freind anyways, but if you come clean, there is the possiblity that they will recognize your honesty and moral values, and you may not completely destroy your freindship.

to add:

I think that if you carried on not telling them, eventually someone who is more loyal to that person would find out, then tell them. It always sounds worse coming from someone else.
So I say just come clean, and if you are sincerely sorry, then you may have a shot at retaining hte freindship. Even if they deny your apology, you can't say you didn't try to make up for what you did.

I completely agree with what other people are saying. It does not matter whether they find out or not. The longer you put it off the harder it becomes, as I have experienced before. And the less chance of them forgiving you. I did something horrible, and put off telling my friend the truth for 2 years. When I finally I did tell them the truth, I was lucky enough to be forgiven.

Sure. Well, I didn't exactly do something knowing that I would upset a friend, but upon hindsight, whAt I did was really stupid. Anyways, about a year ago, I was e mailing a friend. She was gonna play a joke on a guy we knew, by making up a fake email and facebook account for a really hot girl, and then lead him on to beleive she was real. I wanted in on the joke, because I am just naturally a really joking type of person. So I offered to make the accounts, and she was like sure thing, great. So the ne t day she asks for the passwords, and jokingly I replied, how do I know u won't give it away? She then said, because I'd never lie a about something like that. Then, I told her that I didn't beleive her be ause that last time she had joked with me, she made me think that this guy I liked was single, and then led me on. I told her that I had been really upset by that, and how on earth she could do that. (I wasn't actually that nice but u get the idea). She then mailed me back saying that my last message made her really upset etc etc. I tried apologizing, but she refused to mag me back. For over 2 months I thought I'd lost myself one of my beat friends. Thankfully she eventually forgave me, but it still wasn't fun.
