I think he lost 1 trap or maybe 1 AT if I remember correctly

50% of the people involved in the attack quit Evony that night. Haven't seen them since. When the game is obviously broken, people get tired of it.
They really layered terribly then mate, every wave must have been just shocking.
But really 1 trap and 1 AT? no abatis? rolling logs? DT?s cav?
Was you sending pure waves? Was other troops lost - 20mill archers has to lose at lest 500k swords / pike, if layered correctly ^_^.

Im just glad people realised refuge wasn't a bug, there was no refuse in beta never, if i remember correctly (but then again i was never at 0 food in beta and i played the full length of the server hehe).

Its most likely just left there from the left over ageI interface.

If they want to curve the ageII troop counts, they need to go about it a different way, iv been trying to put across some very good ideas on it, but people hate change and find it hard to have a open mind hehe, but hey there may be still hope!

At that point King Of The Hill will start and players will keep trying to kick eachother out of Atlantis. Whoever can stay on top the longest is the King of the Hill. Sounds like fun to me...

Not necessarily. A player in our alliance took over 650 non-stop attacks on his HC from another alliance. All he lost was a few traps, some pikes and an AT or two. It was totally AWESOME! I've seen similar with high level hero's defending.

Yup, I herd about that and I can't stop thinking, "How in the heck would I take a historical hero from that guy?"

Defending is simple as long as attacks are hitting 1 or 2 seconds appart. 4 Attacks in the same second starts problems. 16 attacks is worth sweating. 64 attacks is about closing your eyes and relying on speech texts.

The key word he used here was "properly layered". While i remember that guy failing with his high hero, because of his layers he didn't make tradefire... Ever.

If it was spawn attacking one of us, well depending on his troop count we may have even had to reinforce once and a while. :P

yeah we're talking about someone that knows how to defend themself, you can have a 200 attack defending hero, versus a 500attack attack hero, and if you keep the 5k defence going you will never lose anything besides a few melee units, and traps/abitis, this is nothing new to age2, it's always been like this in age1, and it's funny ppl think it's such a big deal, that proper layering in a 5k setup is so effective.

So many people quit because someone used game rules better than them? I am sure these people would have volunteered their own cities if attacked by 20 mil archers Who sends 20 mil archer before realizing that whatever they are doing isn't working? Why not do some work and build cataphracts! If you use 20 mil archers for attack, you deserve a kick in your behind..

I don't see the future of Age 2 being all that great. The game was released with bugs and bad designs and the company continues to make one bad decision after another. Sure people will continue to come and play but I don't see this game having the staying power that Age 1 has. PvP action in this game is horrible. PvE has now been altered in a way that makes no sense. Why would people want to hang around? There are just way too many things about this game that make it NOT FUN!
