Agreed, Na12 is getting pretty stale lately - an Conquest mode/Attack button or whatever would def put some juice back into it.
Absolutely... NA8 could definitely use an attack button. May actually give me a good reason to start buying adv tele's again.... hmm just like old times!
I personally think it would be great to see the attack button on the older Age II servers. However, I do not believe they will change them or at least not for a very long time.
It's business people. Evony wants money and rightly so. They are a business. So they are probably studying the revenue streams of the newer servers with the attack button as well as testing technical aspects.
I am sure they are doing a number of other things as well. Like player feedback. Both experienced AND new player feedback.

aye, you really CANT have an evony game without the option of flat out CONQUERING another players cities, now Im only on server na20, so it HAS the attack option. but I imagine playing WITHOUT one, and i shudder to think how BORING it would get eventually. Most people on Na20 attack with enough to wipe out most of the players resources (me included) and than Colonize the player being attacked unless they conquer the city.
You might be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper.

Yeah pretty much theringmaster, We have all seen that colonizing only fails, war's never really end, which makes them pointless, My alliances has been at war with the same alliance for months, we win every encounter, and have 90% of them colonized, and in the end it's done nothing for us, we have all lost much more troops then the tribute pays for, and in the end we would have been better off not fighting each other at all, and just been playing farmville style, which is needless to say not what evony is about. Most good players have learn not to colonize ppl unless there inactive, b/c it's almost never a good investment of your troops. It will be a welcome change, and it also means my alliance can end this stalemate war we have been in for months.

I have a feeling that if they do this some people who havent played age1 will complain when they wake up missing a city
Maybe they should open a carebear server then? And then everyone who's butt hurts can play farmvile.
