Right! Major hip surgery I believe? With Percy and his chronic migraines, it's up to Shaincoe, Berrian, and AP with the offense.
I feel so bad for Percy though, migraines that just make you want to or drop/black-out, EVERYDAY. I wouldn't be able to deal with that.
Jacksonville still needs a lot of work before they can be a sure playoff team. I'm putting them at .500 this year.
I'd say the passing game is much improved over last year. Given we actually have a healthy line this year to protect Garrard, not to mention he's been looking much better in the preseason than he looked during last years season in terms of accuracy and decision making. As for receivers, Sims-Walker is great and Thomas + Dillard should help pull some attention away from Sims-Walker leading to a possible threat.
I'd say the worst problem is the defensive backfield, Either an inexperienced or below adequate SS, an untrained or slumping FS, Mathis is our only decent corner Really big problem back there, plus any injury to a major player on offense could cripple the team completely seeing as our back-ups haven't shown much if anything that could support the team.
I'm hoping you're right about Garrard, watching him was an eye-sore for me in terms of accuracy and decision making (as you said). Their secondary will be put to the test, hopefully for their sake someone will step up to lead that defense.
I'm pulling for my Browns. Preseason has looked pretty well so far, Peyton Hillis is an animal with the ball. Also Robiske is turning into the receiver I loved to watch at OSU.
Garrard was terrible last year, getting rushed so much didn't help either. He's appeared to have taken a large step in fixing himself and hopefully we'll see the Garrard from 2 years ago. Defensive wise I agree, I hope that at least one of the underachieving vets will start to ensure a bit of leadership back there other than Mathis.
I'd say the entire Browns back-field at running back is good to go. Hillis, Harrison and Hardsey look great. Delhomme isn't too bad either. Defense needs a real boost though, especially the line.
