Default 3 Reasons Moderators should not be in invisible mode!

    1. When somebody new logs on to here looking for help, they will check who's online and look for mod's. If you're invisible, how will they find you?
I know Boleslav said he still gets a lot of people that ask for help. But many more would try to get help if they saw you were online and would get a faster response.

    2. If somebody see's that no mod's that appear visible online, people that can't see invisible's will take the opportunity to make spam posts and break the rules. Ever notice when no mods are online, spam skyrockets? Coincidence? I think not.

    3. I can't see the Mod's! Yea...and it makes me mad...for example I needed a post approved in a thread and couldn't see any moderators online(Aside from Raven, who couldn't help) to help. So now my post will be buried when approved and only the few that actually read past the opening post of a thread will see it.

-Notes- This is no way trying to insult Moderators, but giving a few reasons that might help them in fulfilling maximum Moderator duties.

I'm not in invisible mode. I'm just a ninja like that.

so this thread is just a whine because one of your posts got hit by the spam filter (oh the irony) and you weren't happy cuz you couldnt find any mods to fix it lol

I think most people do not care if mods are online or not.

Thing is moderators ain't there to answer questions, they are there to what's the word? Moderate hehe. They answer questions as they are a member of the forum, not because they are mods.

If they were to appear online all the time, then there would be very little spam bots, or people creating bogus threads, then the mods would have nothing to do. Don't put mod's out the job hehe. ):

That was one of the reasons. I've been asking this for a while now.

    And no, I'm not whining.

A short conversation from another thread...

I totally understand there's a time and place for it. When the big ban-sweeps happen the the forums fill with Evony hate and an "online" tag is just an invitation to a massive influx of PM's flooding your inbox. Maybe there's some drama going on in one of your assigned server discussion boards and you just don't need the hassle when you hop on for ten minutes just to update yourself about goings-on.

There's lots of reasons to be invisible, but it's getting to be a permanent habit for a lot of mods. It's your choice and your right to be invisible. I'm just saying that i would like to see less of it.

    P.S. I haven't been invisible at all.

I always know when you come online, you've never hidden yourself as far as I know.

note to forum members: If your ever in a thread, you can scroll down to the "Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 2 (2 members and 1 guests)" line(numbers may vary ). If the "member" number is greater than actual number of names listed, then an invisible person is viewing the thread at the same time.

I never have used the invisible mode. Not as a member. Not as a Moderator. But sometimes, I wish I would.

See, some members are in the bad habit of waiting for us to be off-line before misbehaving. Childish, I know, but there it is. And I really don't blame those of us who do use the "stealth" mode. All of us Mods need to find the best way we can personaly contribute to the whole. And I know, for some of us, this works very well.
The mods are volunteers who keep the forums free from spam, and vulgarity. All too often they are mistakenly labeled as the face of Evony, and thus become the target of some in-game complaint. They have absolutely ZERO in-game authority. If they must use invis mode to avoid unfair harassment, then I have no problem with that. I would like to see invis mode used slightly less often, though.

Invisible mode has become useless now that regular people can see that I'm online. Now we need an indivisible mode.

I don't use it because people come to me for help. Now, I also spend more than half my replies with newcomers explaining I'm not Evony that is true, however now that we have an official "link" stating this, it makes that much easier.

People use us being online to ask questions, comments, ask to move threads, etc. I like people knowing when I'm around, so long as they don't get ticked off that I took more than three minutes to respond to their PMS

    Compliments of the wonderful Warsimi!

Even on invisible they get mistaken for this. So when someone see's no mod is on to complain to, they move on to making public thread(if they have the right permissions) which adds to the Mod's workload in the end.
