i believe you misunderstood me. freedom is not the antithesis of security it is its parent. but for the sake of this argument i redefined it to be seen as opposed. with the freedom to chose comes the responsibility to choose wisely. i have heard some say that freedom is only freedom if it is freedom from responsibility, i must naysay that most strongly. freedom is the privilege of responsible actions. with more responsibility comes more freedoms which in turn hold you more responsible for what you do with them.
again i say, give me the freedom to choose and i will make choices that give me security in life. not by giving up my freedom, but by using it to my best advantage.
