Also the first RP to ever be on this board, based on Bioshock was run by Shinigami I believe, might have been sukasai while he was a mod.


Finally, Im a little PO'd at the editing of the Introduction to moderators thread. It was the main way to commemorate past mods.

I know that Lord A's April 1st joke was already mentioned but I'd just like to admit that I was one of those gullible people that fell for it. I was only a forum noob so when I saw his thread I was like "OMG, I played beta - I want that free package!". I'd now like to apologise to Foxy for helping to fill her inbox and thanks for the nice response.

I''m sure it was just the same mail everyone else got but it was still appreciated!

I don't really have any stories, but I have played in the same alliance on Age1 and during beta testing on Age 2 with several who were/became mods, forum helpers, guides, etc. these include DCJerboa, TCWNME, RayneTwilight, Rota, Asmo, and I think Lord Arumen (there may be some others I missed, forgive me, its been a while) These people are generally going to be helpful regardless of their status as a mod or anything other than a player, be it here on the forums or in game, or real life. I have had the pleasure of interacting with those that I mentioned and seen it first hand. Many others I have witnessed doing a sometimes thankless job here on the forums as well. I'd like to mention as well Ghost and Bole, as I think they have done a tremendous job on the N1 forums since they took over, and Abra before them. They have the qualities you want in someone moderating, a sense of humor, a measure of patience, and the decisiveness to act when necessary.

So just a thanks to the mods, helpers, guides, developers, reps, etc. I appresciate the work you've done, and it has enhanced the experience of the game.

I'm thinking of Lord A as my favorite Mod, most likely because he was the only Mod I knew when I started the RP and Stories Forum.

Heights FTW.

I can remember when Server 9 got its first active mod - Bole - the new kid on the block still had to find his footing - at the time the server 9 forum had never or rarely been moderated, so a lot of rule breaking was going on there, but he turned it around and his attitude to moderating to became a very fun and in my opinion the most respected green mod on the Evony forum.

Bole, definitely one of my favourite mods (well, he's my only fav..was, I mean). Never knew him in his area at his server, but when he came over to Off Topic, he sounded cool. And he was the first mod to rep me.

Uhm.. Yeah, back when I was new, this guy... Gave me a warning. One month later...'nother one. Know that I did a lot of swearing over receiving that, but whateva now. At least I learned a lesson, and he got me to actually read the rules. (:
