Thread: Another Age2 Exploit: 2nd Account Colonization

Default Another Age2 Exploit: 2nd Account Colonization

Players are now using second accounts to colonize the cities of their other accounts. They are also using these illegal accounts to colonize cities belonging to members of their alliance. This has the effect of instantly reinforcing the colonized city from the suzerain city. I suppose it could also be used to instantly reinforce the suzerain city with a draft from the colony.

Players are also using these 2nd accounts as safe colonies and troop farms. They colonize cities in their 2nd accounts and use them as resource suppliers and can draft the troops produced into their primary account. This potentially means that one player can have as many troop producing cities as they have time to handle. Since these 2nd accounts are not in the same alliance as the primary account, it becomes less apparent that there is an illegal exploit being used and it may hide the 2nd account from attack.

This is going to have serious implications for competitiveness on servers and is just another example of how unscrupulous players will find ways to exploit the ambiguity in the Evony game system. Fair play is quickly becoming a bad joke.

Multi-accounters always get/have and unfair advantage.
If you have proof of the person having more than one account then report it. If you do not then hope that they get caught. There is nothing else you really can do. I would say colonize the guy and take his troops.

Sure, 2nd accounters have had advantages since Age1. But the point of this thread is that Age2 has opened up a whole new set of exploits for those using this cheat.

How does one player prove another player is using 2nd accounts? Does them telling you in the past constitute sufficient proof? That is how I know some are doing it. Or is that just hearsay? Do we need a signed and notarized confession? Point is, a player cannot prove that and we have to rely upon Evony's woefully inadequate policing methods.

As for taking the city, that is precisely what the exploit is intended to prevent or make prohibitively expensive. The 2nd account suzerain acts as protector while the colony owner is free to use their troops elsewhere if they wish. This form of reinforcement is superior to the standard method because it happens instantly and can be virtually unlimited in size. These 2nd accounts can also act as watchmen for their alliance mate's cities since the suzerain will get immediate notice of an attack on the way. This is something that an alliance mate does not know even if he has reinforcements in your city.

This exploit has far reaching and serious adverse effects on the game much worse than the Age1 style 2nd account farming.

You really cannot prove it. If the person tells you make sure you take a screen shot of it. It really is difficult for multi accounters to get caught. If you have reasonable doubt I would report them. Are the names like Joe Blow and Joe Blow2?

The only thing you can do about this is report it through the proper channels.
If you believe this is happening you must have a reason to do so, report that reason or find proof of that reason then report it to the staff as others have posted here.

It is not speculation, it is a fact. It was reported a few days ago. Do I expect anything to be done about it? No.

I posted 3 month worth of report, screen shot, email's no one answer and no one care then again these thing happen all the time in online game like these.. Dev many never stop everyone from doing it, but still report it and finger cross.

I have been told by evony staff that a screenshot of them admitting it is NOT considerd proof, As it can be faked, They could be lying or it could just be a fake name that looks the same as someones.

I dont know any way you can get proof.. If thats not good enough what is

    Past - Huntah Immortal,Shawn Insomnia
    Present - Blacklistt Relapse

Fair play...be serious lol, if players can have countless troops, then they will come after your city lol, no need for a 2nd account

I guess suspending me for a day changed me...NOT

    Ardee, you will be missed.

Evony has always been a bit of a joke when it comes down to cracking down on cheating and exploitation of bugs.

Back in Age 1, some entire servers were using the resource duplication bug for quite a long time, and somehow they got away with it. And then when it came time for server merges to create superservers, some alliances had huge advantages, trillions of food, iron, wood... wow. Players in these alliances were able to build up tremendous number of troops without having to worry about farming.

And when finally Evony closed this exploit (took them a few weeks), all of a sudden you see players attacking with 100k transports just to throw them away as they no longer had a use other than getting rid of honor. Imagine getting hit with 9 waves of 100k transports and seeing them die on your walls with no material impact to your defenses.

No one was banned for using this exploit.

The one I understand would be a bad idea to give details on.

The sad thing is that almost all exploits/bugs take a long time for the developers to fix and I just don't know why. However, it seems odd that when it came down to the $5 for 250 cent offer that kept repeating, Evony fixed that loop almost right away.

Not to continually harp on Evony, but if it quacks like a duck...
