I love this style, and I love curls. Frankly, I think you should rock your curls, not straighten them. Instead of 40 products and a straightening iron every day, you wash, condition, turn upside down, shake, and go.

Thank you, Ravenwings, for my new siggie! WOOT!

When they are long, it doesn't work so well. Think Kelly McGillis in Top Gun. You could so pull it off. Just get the stylist to give you advice on keeping the curls tame instead of frizzy.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, my always-straight-as-a-pin hair suddenly went curly. I've had to learn all over again how to deal with it. Layers, layers, layers. And shape is everything so be sure to get a really good cut. And I use Aussie conditioner (I have found it is every bit as good as the expensive stuff). I get out, shake, maybe add a touch of Sheer Blonde or Shine Stuff to it to tame things if humidity is low, and let it dry on its own.

Aussie is the best! The 3-minute miracle stuff makes me want to eat it. lol I leave it in like 20 minutes just soaking up the scent.

You have three guesses. The first two don't count.

I have hair that is just past shoulder length, and the bed head curls (shake and go) works decently well for me as well. The patience to straighten it is much needed, which unfortunately I often lack at 6:30 in the morning, so many days that is my prefered method.

I use TresEmme shampoo and conditioner, (the hydrating stuff), then I put a little anti-frizz oil in (I think it's Got2B brand, can't remember) then I scrunch it flip it upside down, scrunch more, add a touch more oil, fix any screwy parts the hairspray away...
