Well, in the US, First we should increase taxes on prefabricated homes by ten arms and two legs, making it cheaper to just refurbish homes and apartments.
That would simultaneously protect the forests that are left and take care of urban blight.
I see no difference between living in one of these new prefabricated suburbs and the city anyway, when your houses are that close together there is no difference.
For South America we should probably drop Birth Control in their water supply. That should protect the rainforests. Do the same thing with Africa.
For the oil crisis we should turn to coal. Its clean enough now.
And for electricity, nuclear sounds good.
We could also just mine landfills, that is just as good as recycling and is less irritating towards normal people, who don't have time for all the sorting recycling requires.
