That right there is awesome.... And you know what, sometimes thinking like this is just fine. If the local government agrees, no reason birth control can't be put in the drinking water. I mean, sometimes sweeping statements and generalizations and falicious reasoning works. I am not being sarcastic.
And you know what? I bet $100 that many women in underdeveloped regions are PRAYING for birth control because they really don't want 10 children just because the men "force" them to.
Cheap, safe birth control. And condoms are not the solution in those places. You think that men are going listen to a woman and take the time to put one on if she asks? So something in the water that reduces men's fertility rate by 50% would be awesome.

i cant believe you!!! that is the most horrible thing i have ever read!! it is in NO WAY a solution to ANY THING!!!! i have never been so enraged by any poster her ever!! i refuse to believe that any sain thinking person would ever in their right mind give that kind of suggestion any merit what so ever let alone be serious about saying its a good idea. how can you be so crass and inhuman as to believe that that is in any way a "good idea" its a horrendous idea!!!!
i'll tell you why.

it removes all possibility for free will.
it purposefully contaminates what drinking water there is
there is rampit possibility for multiple problems to the local wild life and domesticated life there
there is no proven way to make it at all effective
ITS A HENIOUS IDEA THAT I HATE (granted thats a less rational reason then my others, but none the less valid)

how would you like me to put stuff in your water that takes a way your life choices???? hell its just as good an idea as dropping stick nine in the well and being done with them. IE ITS A TERABLE PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was subtly trying to change the discussion into the direction it needed to go, namely isolate the causes of why the environmental problems exist. And extremist posts are a lot more fun to write.

sorry i was so p!ssed off i forgot to respond to the rational poster.
there are a multitude of causes for our environmental problems. and some of them are only problems for those who dont feel like adapting. we have always been adaptable creatures and even pride our selves on that fact. i think that we need to continue to adapt as well as be wiser with the resources we have.
