Thread: Silent Game Changes

    I thought I was just waiting on the combo thing the past few days on my 16. Thank you Evony for making this clear.....oh wait, you, the franchise, hasn't made anything clear. I love this game and I think Evony is a great concept/ company. But seriously, try communicating a few things first. It's not hard to send out a system mail, you guys do it all the time for cent deals and new server openings.

    And note this, we'll still figure out the best ways to attack these HCs. If it means 5M pike or the whatnots, so be it. HCs will still fall and even more Altantis' will fall on other servers. However, what will fall more is your customer support.

    Any changes to HHs will result in the game ending. Just my theory, hope it is never put to the test.

    I have scouted 36 level 12s and 5 level 14 every day for the last 2 weeks. theres always a few that come up swords/caavs/rams.. the last 2 days not one has come up with that combo so im thinking this bug is affecting them as well.. i play on na5

    It's not a bug, it's a game play change! 12s still seem to have their 'random 1/8' chance of combo, but I doubt lvl 12s will stay reasonable for long.

    Honestly it seems like the its less then a 1/8 chance, i think the harder combos have more odds, even for 12s its quite hard to find good combos these days. harder then it used to be imo

    I have played several massive online wargames and this is the absolute FIRST that has such horrible - let's call it - support system...Autoresponses and autoclosing?
    => Support? A decent autoresponse goes like this: "Thank you for submitting we will look in the case and get back to you in 3 days"
    *3 days later*
    "We checked and we resolved it *this way*" For every case.
    Tickets should close ONLY when addressed and resolved.

    => Multi catching? Oh COME ON is world's easiet thing and you know it! Just remove that rule, you don't want to catch multies. Any mediocre game has at least one automatic search for multies. Descent games can track down everything, from IP to use of proxy, to online times, to the BLATANT "similar name/pass/logins/mac/ETC"

    => Banned players a secret? Make a banlist/pillory. If for example someone heavily insults people should be visible he was banned and that you didn't just ignore proved requests of heavy hideous/racistic insults.

    => ANNOUNCEMENTS. Every single wargame I played had forum sections dedicated to post IN TIME any change either in rules or payments or gameplay.
    Major game changes are known BEFOREHAND. Many games have incorporated ingame auto-appearance of changes per version. At least post minor bugfixes and changes in the same day they implement, post major gameplay changing alterations DAYS before. Especially when they affect the gameplay mid-game...

    There was no emergency that hindered you from posting in time with the nerf of 16+. It wasn't a ddos, it wasn't a server crash, it wasn't a roll back. It was a premeditated change. Common sense and courtesy should have made clear such changes are announced days before they get implemented.

    There was one good change you didn't announce either. Perhaps you are clueless about it yet? With so many bugs daily, I wouldn't be surprised.

    What evony owners do is insulting to say the least.

    So lvl14s will always have ballista/catapults in like the 16s n 18? I've been scouting a few lately since i almost ready to hit one (if it had rams in) but no luck so far.


    Edit: scratch that - I just found a lvl14 with rams in it.

    Good thing Im on a pretty new server where none of the 16s are capped yet, but I can just imagine on servers where 1 or 2 lvl 16s are capped, some people who where planning to catch up and cap one would be abit annoyed. More than abit maybe.
    "catching up" as you put it will never be possible on server NA1 (the beta server). . .
    More than half of the 16s were already captured at the time evony introduced the permanent phract/ pult combo. . .
    so now any players hoping to compete with the alliance already in possession of HC16s will have to burn twice(?) the troops to capture one. . .

    These drastic changes should be ONLY implemented on new servers!!!!

    The players that suggested these changes to evony are huge coiners that felt the 16s were too easy. . . gimme a break, nearly half of the 16s on NA1 havent been captured after 6 months of play!

    grrrr, evony age2 is a coiners world, many players already have one food outside the door. . .

    this is why they changed it so peopel cant solo it lol so u need to get ur some friends in ur allaicne to help and do it how it was ment to be done as a team effort

    they should just take the 16s from everyone and it would start fresh and xtend the life of na1 by alot na1 will be a completly dead server very very soon it already is close because of the massvie cheats used by a certian alliance and that certian alliance has them all almost

    Default Moving Forward

    There will, of course, be those that try to figure out this new combo on HC16 and HC18... has a discussion thread been started that I can't find? I'm unable to post new threads for some reason, so I thought I'd poke around here and see; more than willing to test some theories and see what we can figure out!
