    Default Combine Countries

If for some reason there was a need to join/combine two countries and you had to decide what would they be and why?
(Please do not bring up politics, religion or other prohibited topics)

    My Selection
    Countries: USA and Canada.
Why: We are neighbors. We would greatly expand the land, and be able to better protect our oceans not worrying about crosses the borders. Many people live on the border and cross for work, they would not have to worry about not being a citizen in the other country for what ever reason. Also, Canada is actually paying off their debt which is good and the US could use some of their techniques. Also, there were quite a lot of debates about Alaska and weather Canada or the US should have it, and this would end it. Canada and the US have the largest trade agreement in the world. Canada has helped the US in many of their wars.
Flag: I was not being very creative with the flag and did an awful job cropping out the maple leaf.

You have three guesses. The first two don't count.

I'd have to argue with you saying the US and Canada should become one. Canada has a certain individuality that I know and love. We have diverse lansdscape, from the northern tundra, to the flat praries, to the Martitimes, to the large forests of BC, Ontario, NWT and Yukon, the wet and rainy East coast and the dry interior. Becoming part of the US would ruin that. It oils also degrade several stereotypes (I actually like th one all Canadians wear tuques... I do wear a tuque all the time when I board.)

Canada is seen as seprate from the US, because of our odd sense of humor, pur love of snow (I actually don't like it much hahaha...)

Personally, I feel that if any two countries were merged, the individuality of one or he other would disappear. Which isn't what we want. The world needs individuality, because with out it we would all be too much the same.

Canada is already the 51st state. If Canada gave just 10 miles of border to the US, they would lose over 90% of the Canadian population. If a separate Canadian identity is so important, then why does everyone clamor to be as close to the US as possible?

I don't think a few documents declaring them as a single country would suddenly change any geographical regions or landscapes.

Unless you're suggesting we destroy and taint everything we touch.

    North Korea and South Korea.

wait, when was there a debate about whether Alaska should be part of Canada? I think it should still be part of Russia, honestly. United States and Canada shouldn't merge. Canada should get smaller. Quebec should break off and become it's own nation, same with Texas and California.

North Korea and South Korea combining would cause either the US or North Korea to not be happy. You would not have democracy and communism and I think it would not be good, especially since the US never officially won the war we just stop communism from going to South Korea. The US has troops in South Korea and it could start the Korean War again. But if they could join and both sides could be happy that would be great.

Apparently on my news it said there were rallies across Canada about having Alaska join Canada. They were yelling at politicians but I am not sure how many people were involved maybe 100 total or something that doesn't even matter.

No, the war is not over. The US has an armistice (cease fire) meaning the war is not over. We are not fighting though.
