this method works yes.....but the thread is about player built npc's on flats that never had an npc there when the server was created...... these normally get removed and a little clarification on the time scale that these npc stick around for would be very handy.
i also have noticed player built npc hanging around while normally they get removed, i have built one next to a city on 2 servers to see how long they stay there.
