Well, I wouldn't have minded hearing one request I've made. I certainly don't expect every request to be played. I know on "show night" you are inundated with a flood of requests. There is no way you can play everyone's request. There is no way you can play even 1 request from each person. In a dozen or so shows, it would have been nice to hear one get played, though.
Now, we can't even make requests without signing up. Personally, I don't "sign up" to any site that isn't actionable. If it's not a multi-million dollar company I can sue if they Eff up my personal info, then they don't need my personal info. I have signed up with about 5 online sites, Amazon, Hotmail, Evony, Blizzard, my old college for registrar services, and that's it. I know there is an argument that sign-ups keep out spammers. But, are you really that big of a target for spammers? ... yet.

If anyone can listen or join the chat without signing up, then what purpose they serve, anyway? I understand sign-ups for the forum/gallery posting. There used to be a system for requesting songs through irc. Why not bring that back?
I am not without a sense of perspective. I realize the request thing is not really a big deal. It's more of a sign that I'm not valued as a listener unless I'm willing to give you my personal info. I'm uncomfortable with that kind of demand. Isn't it enough that I clicked each google ad once, every time I logged into the site to get you the ad bucks?
