*sets out to acquire a pound of bacon drippings*
I've had this recipe for ages: (it's awesome, too)
Swedish Ginger Cookies
3/4 c bacon fat
1 c sugar
4 tblsp molasses
1 egg
2 c all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon.
After mixing, chill dough thoroughly. Form into one-inch balls, roll in sugar, and place on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until dark brown. Let cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a baking rack to finish cooling.
P.S. You get the required amount of grease from about 1-2 lbs of regular bacon.
Thank you, Ravenwings, for my new siggie! WOOT!
Quiche.
I don't have a recipe, because I don't measure. I just throw together some dough for the handmade crust, then fill it with whatever I feel like. The base filling is egg and milk along with some seasonings. Bacon is a must, along with a few cheeses. Throw in some broccoli or whatever else is around. Maybe some cubed ham... whatever looks good in the kitchen.
I also love a meaty spaghetti, or fettucini alfredo. I make a mean shepherds pie, too.
faux chicken??
Umm, probably my home made Waffles w/ Strawberries & Whipped Cream or my Chicken Fettuccine w/ Alfredo Sauce.![]()
