my main concern is where would i get a pound of rendered bacon fat... and then would i want more or less brown sugar... i'm thinking more. leave out the vanilla, keep the cinnamon and allspice, bacon crumbles instaid of chocolate chips...

I'm sure you could find some volunteers for taste testing....!

Special Props To Don Ezio for this!

I've had this recipe for ages: (it's awesome, too)

    Swedish Ginger Cookies

    3/4 c bacon fat
    1 c sugar
    4 tblsp molasses
    1 egg
    2 c all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp ground ginger
    1 tsp ground cloves
    1 tsp ground cinnamon.

After mixing, chill dough thoroughly. Form into one-inch balls, roll in sugar, and place on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until dark brown. Let cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a baking rack to finish cooling.

P.S. You get the required amount of grease from about 1-2 lbs of regular bacon.

Thank you, Ravenwings, for my new siggie! WOOT!

    Quiche.

I don't have a recipe, because I don't measure. I just throw together some dough for the handmade crust, then fill it with whatever I feel like. The base filling is egg and milk along with some seasonings. Bacon is a must, along with a few cheeses. Throw in some broccoli or whatever else is around. Maybe some cubed ham... whatever looks good in the kitchen.

I also love a meaty spaghetti, or fettucini alfredo. I make a mean shepherds pie, too.
