That's pretty sweet Rota, I've seen things like that before, never in tattoo form, but I think it'd be cool, but i think/agree that a tattoo is a HUGE thing to do to yourself. If there's no reason to it, and you aren't positive about it, you shouldn't do it.

I searched "butterfly froud." I think Brian & Wendy Froud might have a style that you would like. These are really Faeries, but it shares their "look" to art.

while yes those do run to my taste in art, they dont captivate what a butterfly symbolizes to me.
there are several things my butterfly will have to embody. it has always been something that had meaning for me, and thus the reason i feel it always will. when i was a little girl my mom told me that my name meant "beautiful butterfly on a rose" and i've always loved butterfly jewelry. in and of them selves those reasons still arent enough to get it tattooed to me. but there is the deeper meaning which i cant talk about because its religious in nature and religion is a forbidden topic.
it would have to incorporate all that butterflys have always symbolized to me. beauty, mystery, rebirth, love, time, honor, tradition, virtue, and love.

with so much in my head of what it has to be, you can understand why i have a hard time finding one i like

I do have to say this is not a bad idea. But i wouldn't personally waste the money on a tattoo that WILL disappear. The Silvia in your mouth will eat it away

I was thinking of a Japanese symbol. Particularly this: 勇

It means "Bravery".

i havnt got this, but i want to get the southern cross on the underside of my fore-arm.

i have a friend who got that done, it was a backyard job done with a shading needle and looked like a prison job tattoo. I bought a tattoo machine to try and fix it up a bit, but the tattoo-gun was cheap n im now saving up to get a good tattoo-gun to fix it up properly for him.

I want to get a tattoo done in UV blacklight ink, probably in titamium white so its least visible in regular light. I want it to be of a gaping hole in my chest with my heart hanging out, snapped ribs showing and all.
