The point of the thread it is a EASY fix by Evony. The utilization of the "Security Questions" to verify the Real owner, then reset to the time the account was "Hacked".

Done, Fair, and Easy. This game isnt Rocket Science or massive Code, graphics that it would cause any internal issues. Even MOST games that do have massive Code, Graphics, game Economies etc., can and do fix accounts that are Hacked. I guess the biggest differences is actual Live Customer Support. Not computer generated Replies.

All I have seen on this thread, is why it is the individuals fault he got "Hacked". If you think Evony hasnt been Hacked many times you are EXTREMELY naive. I agree, I dont understand why they wouldnt do something more damaging than, screw this individual over royally, but then again, I dont understand a Hackers mentality.
Well, I don't doubt that people have been able to hack into Evony, but if that was the case, I would hope that Evony would do everything in their power to fix the problem, restore the players affected, and at least release something that gives a reason even if it is a lie. Why I said it was far fetched was because the goal is questionable, Evony did nothing, and 99.9% of the time someone says they got hacked... they were not. (At least if you view Hacking and Cracking as two different things.)

Also, in no way do I doubt what you said about it being an "easy fix". However, I do think that there is much more to a issue like thing then means the eye. The number 1 issue would be taking advantage of it. (e.g. You lose your cities.... so you reset your account and call it a hacking) I know there are ways to look at the players logs and such (well i hope), but that is a lot of work and at least to me, a lot of work does not equal an easy fix.
