its not the 10% of your resources that would be an issue for me, its the 10% daily drafting and the inability to attack.

    1. You can protect your troops from getting drafted.
    2. You can attack player owned historicals and your suzerain.

I assumed he meant by sittin them in a valley which depending on the size of your army and what server your on can be more of a pain food wise then just having 10% of them drafted. Also if your suzerained, it's because you don't have the troop count to beat your suppressor, so im pretty sure you won't be taking on any player owned historics any time soon.

JP is correct. HC can be attacked if colonised. At the point of the game I'm at, my suzerian and their alliance have them. They now are forced to rebuild their scouts, taking up production time and resources. I've even col smacked them a few times now since being colonised.

Also, it is not hard to take a NPC and attack from it. Quite easy actually. There are guides out there if you don't know.

Drafting is not hard to escape if you train to a time that you know you will be on next. Even if 10% is drafted of 100,000 thats only 10,000 and your 90,000 will defeat this number easy.

Before or straight after ( if caught out ) being colonised you should take a 10 away from draft influence of an enemy 12, 14 etc.. Store your troops in there, all of them. Food doesn't matter. If food goes in your cities and you find you cannot build , use the comfort and levy for food to farm a level 5 NPC. Farm a couple more and you'll have 9 mil food. While waiting for each attack to come back, transport food to a valley... then recall and use food supply to other cities for building troops. You'll find not all cities are effected by the 0 food. I think four out of my nine. That's with over 6 mil usage per hour

All in all, its about desperation and 'thinking outside the box' to minimise your supression whilst still being able to make your enemies remain alert to attack...

Suz's have to remember that they haven't NPC'd my cities, they are still very active.

And that is the point of all of this. We get to keep our cities.
If a colonized player can build up 10 cities at full production with decent attack heros and mayors, then they will be stronger than any suzerain who only has 8-9 cities.
10 cities at 90-95% production totally beats 8 cities at 100% production regardless if the 8 cities have colonies because the constant flow of losses due to uprises and defending against attacks. If you really consider everything, being colonized really doesnt make that much of a difference

Oh and don't stop scouting when you get a report.... scout them to 0 everytime.

I find also that when you use burn the warehouse strat and then uprise after being scouted they tend to think its real and reinforce the city. Then you just don't go through with it and chuckle at the food wasted.

All the little niggling things really do add up.

Plus while you do this your meant to be building your cities to what you want and research, so that your alliance will be more willing to help with the uprise.

never been in an alliance? they're not all random collections of whoever can invite the fastest at server open... some are very functional. research it a bit, you might want to try it.

Annoying people like that sounds fun. However I'm not colonized so I can't do that. Anyway have fun messing with them!
