I feel that it Stargate has finally entered the realm of true Sci-Fi, it isn't a military science fiction show anymore, and I like that fact. It isn't the old Stargate, but that is a good thing. There is only so many poorly designed plots based around the elusive ZPM [I mean really, where is that ZPM making room on Atlantis] or with a single all powerful foe that starts off extremely powerful and then suffers a random drop off in their power [Goa'uld anyone?].

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the old Stargate immensely, but I feel that the show is taking a turn for the better.
I quite agree.

To add to the list of people (enemies) who had a massive power reduction: The Wraith, and pretty much anyone who needed to lose power to make the fighters quicker, and more numerous (and boring).
