Thread: Reinforcing vallies

    Default Reinforcing vallies

I know this issue has been around for a while. When you reinforce a vally the time it takes is 4 or 5 times what it should be taking. It doesn't matter what troops you send.

But can anyone explain to me why evony changed the time it takes to send troops to and from a vally?

I think since 2009 this problem is solved. I do remeber having a problem last year with it. A suside player that I crushed was able to take the vally one mile from me (15 from him) before I could get any kind of troop there. I think it is fixed now.

How do you know how long it should be taking? Does it say one time before you send then the bar says a different time?

I think the problem with that is your relief station is not showing on the times sometimes. The game was actually alot worse when it first came out. Army's disappearing for weeks. Servers down all day or longer.

Well when you are sending troops to a valley relief station should not lower time. It should be between your own cities and your alliance mate's cities.

I just checked in game. I can rein a vally in less than half the time it takes to attack one. Last year to go one mile took over ten minutes with full techs. I can not find where it says that the relief station affects it but something does.

When I send units to a valley, it says one time in the march screen, then when I send it, it takes longer. Ie .. I just sent a warrior to reinforce a valley 1.4 miles from my city.

On the march screen it said it would take 42 seconds. But when I sent it it took 3min 40secs. Which is the same amount of time it would take to attack the valley.

The relief station only takes into account from the sending city, not the receiving one. I would understand a return of 3min but I don't understand why it's taking that long to send.

I don't normally reinforce a valley. The troops eat twice as much and it invariably works out better to just release the valley until you've dealt with the attacker. However, if I did ever want to reinforce a valley, I would not like to have to deal with varying times, so I tried it out and there is definitely a problem there. It said 25 seconds to reinforce a valley 1.4miles away, yet it actually took over two minutes. The flaw in the times is quite considerable and totally unacceptable, especially when under attack.

I sincerely hope 'Evony' fix it, and quick.

relief station only applies to cities, not valleys.
march time will be based on the troop time and compass/hbr and will not take into account relief station bonus (same as if you were attacking an enemy)

    its always been that way
