    Default Seige versus raid

Hmmmm I was posting in another thread when this came to mind.

    Two attack types

Raid: this is cav archers and infantry it will not inflict loyalty damage may not even take out much of the fortifacations of a city. IT is a rapid attack mode meant to loot as much as possible form the town and its surrounding country side.

Seige this is a more advanced attack with heavy equipment. it is meant to drainthe will of the people to fight. IT would inflict loyalty damge and if given enough time cause a city to fall into the attackers hands as booty. This type of attack would require heavy weapons troops and tactics and time.

Now before i hear it said well then people wil ljust camp cities till they fall i will say this A besieging enemies worst fear is a raiding army hitting it in the middle of seige.

This would allow the defenders to even be assisted by their allaince mates.

OK now at this point i am sure the Code monkey's are trying to put contract out on my head for some of my suggestions. BUt it would make warfare in the game much more dynamic.

this is a really good idea, would make it closer to the way war is really fought, one suggestion though would be giving an email. "Danger! Your city is under siege!". i would love it

    Excellent idea
For raids perhaps you can give a time limit to attack for (like the camp time in March) perhaps denoted in rounds fought, which would affect the amount of loot you gather vs the amount of casualties you suffer.

    Default Ya!

I think this a good idea, but the seigers would require a food source or constant supplies of food and iron, perhaps using transporters that were included in the attack. If one brought workers they might be able to build their own farms and mines, thus supplying without travel.

Man i really hate this kind of stuff that changes my gameplay, but i still LOVE THE IDEA it would make it much morre realistic, since cav cant really decrease morale, repeditivity. if you change it, pleas send a mass message in the game!
