I have taken some fairly decent blows to the genitals over the years and although the pain was intense, it soon passed. It may be that a really damaging blow to the testes is the worst pain and lasts longer but thankfully I have never had that experience.

Kidney stone is far worse. A punch or kick is a sudden sharp pain with an ebbing ache afterward. The stone is a continuous sharp pain.

i've done unmediated child birth and a kidney stone (lucky me not in the same year) and i can tell you. the stone was much worse on the pain scale. and there was no euphoric moment to make it all worth it. "congratulations its calcified goo" doesnt have the same effect as "congratulations its a *gender of child here*"
no one who has had a kidney stone will ever say someone else who has had one and cried over the pain was in any way weak.

I'm a weird person as you may have noticed I've taken a tray out of the oven after heating up some pies on it with out a mitt on yet wet heat kills me, dry heat no worries, any kind of cold no worries, try pinching yourself on the back of your upper arm doesnt hurt me I've had full grown kids pinch and try to make me hurt twas fine they left a hell of a lot of bruises even only after a few seconds. I once broke a couple of ribs I didnt even know I'd done it for a couple of years yet I could barely stand up after bruising my abs go figure!

I'll complain at anything that causes pain.

When the pain actually happens, I'll just sit there and stare at people.

I broke my leg once. and tried to stand on it. the pain wasn't the problem at that moment, rather the fact that it was hard to use my leg...

The problem is, I've lived in a lot of pain for years now, a little more rarely effects me.

and I'm not sure about kidney stones, but at one point my options where walk everywhere with my eyes closed, or get a sharp pain in my eyes constantly.

that pain is still there, but it doesn't affect me anymore.

i forgot to ask about spices, which is what prompted me to think of the topic to begin with. i've noticed that some people have a high tolerance for one kind or another of spicy food. some people none and some most.
like the difference between the fire of ginger that gives szechuan its kick as well as puts the snap in ginger cookies
and the burn of capsaicin from the peppers in american/mexican dishes.
or even the cold sting of mint
the slow numbing pain of cinnamon
the fast numbing sting of clove

what food pain can you take, or not take.

Ordinarily I don't even take aspirin if something's hurting a bit, it's only temporary--except when I cracked a molar. Worst pain I've ever been in (haven't had a kidney stone or given birth).

Really like spicy food, although there are a couple hot peppers I won't eat.

It seems to be possible to build a tolerance for chili pepper through regular eating of spicy foods and slowly increasing the amount of chili pepper in the dishes. I don't mind a little bit of chili but I can't eat real Mexican food, even those dishes described as "mild" on the menu.

I could try and be macho and keep eating spicier and spicier dishes to develop the tolerance but I find that if a meal is too spicy for my palette, all the subtle flavours are lost or overpowered by the chill pepper. I prefer to be able to enjoy the taste of my meal in all of it's subtlety. A little bit of heat can enhance and increase the flavours of dishes in many cases but personally, I have no interest in becoming a chili eating champion at the expense of taste.

It's interesting that the heat component in chili peppers somehow fools the brain by triggering the pain receptors whilst not doing any actual physical damage.

I can't stand spicy hot. I like spice for flavor, but not heat for heat's sake. Too many people just want the hottest spice at the cost of flavor.

I also have a genetic gift from my mother of having more taste buds than the average human. So, I'm more sensitive to hot foods.
