The rockfall now hit Catapults as well...
It seems ranged units advance forward now, instead of peppering the enemy from a safe range. There have been losses of ballistae to NPCs with no rockfalls or rollinglogs, only ATs (which they did outshoot, btw).

pokey, you know I respect you, however, you made a mistake here. Ground troops have never been a shield for all ranged troops - in particular, archers. Look at the movement speed of archers. They engage in battle well in advance of warriors hordes which are supposedly acting as meat shileds.
With mechs, it's obviously a different story.
If you can figure out a way for 1k archers (let alone more) to "kite" enemies, let us know. We had trouble getting 50 guys on the same page while marching in formation during basic training.![]()
Well, I'm now reducing my "playing" to a daily visit to see what's new and queue a few more troops. Though they will probably starve so what's the point? Good luck to those few actual gamers--as distinct from kids with dad's credit card--who plan to remain.
Look forward to hearing if there's a workaround to this thing but frankly I can't see a way. The daily food usage of the army needed to take on the NPC in 15-18 or so rounds will always exceed the food value of the NPC plunder, seems like.
It would seem from these recent changes that the developers actually hate genuine online wargamers. Well, maybe the feeling is now reciprocal.

so anyone who had a hit out during the change got screwed the whole reason i built up ballista is ruined since i got nothing out of it while others got lvl 10 npc buildings, the changes need warning i lost nothing but am still upset by this and i agree with the "original" vs changed servers to offer variety in the game, theres no reason to dumb down the graphics and have 10 servers in a few weeks
