Default Your vote has been lodged!

    +1 to Evony's translators

When voting for governor it says that Your vote for player X has been lodged.

Makes sense to me. It could be better worded like "your vote has been counted"

How does that make sense? What is your vote getting lodged into?

The bullet was lodged into the soldier's leg. This is how you would correctly use lodged. When you say lodged you assume that it is penetrating or going into something (physically).

I don't see anything wrong with that grammar.

It's supposed to be "Your vote has been logged."

If your vote is lodged, then it has been put up in a hotel room for the night, or it's stuck in something.

I was more or less thinking of the example "I lodged a complaint against so and so" and using it in that context.

EDIT: As a verb with subject

    23.
to put or bring (information, a complaint, etc.) before a court or other authority.

this is actually a metaphoric saying used commonly when voting by voice or show of hands or anytime when not using a physical ballot. it's representative of your ballot card being placed, or lodged, into a ballot box.

Even though the word "lodge" technically works...
lodge - verb - present (a complaint, appeal, claim, etc.) formally to the proper authorities : he has 28 days in which to lodge an appeal.

With the half dozen other meanings of the word "lodge," it was probably the worst choice for word use in that situation. It just doesn't sound right when you read the sentence. I still think the intent was to use "logged."
