People just need to forget age 2 ever existed and go back to age 1 with MONEY LIMITATIONS so that HUGE SPENDERS can't win by just buying heroes to instant pults

His argument is valid when considering the disconnection Evony Reps have from the actual game. How many of those "new active players" are the same players making secondary, tertiary, and so on accounts? During the Governor war on NA9 with Linux, people had up to 10 accounts just for voting...

It's about gaining prestige. Your prestige gain is a function of average Town Hall level and possibly to some extent title (according to those who say this...it's possible that the assumption is that when you gain title, you build towns and level up your town hall, which slows your prestige growth by raising the average level of your town hall).

To me, this has always been a silly strategy. Sure, when many people see you have a higher than average prestige they'll leave you alone, but not everyone is like that.

IMO, you're always better off promoting as quickly as possible, building as many troop building towns as quickly as possible, and building as many troops as you're able to as fast as you can. Farming prestige doesn't help you, your alliance, or your troop count despite that prestige is the factor that ranks players on the alliance page. I always thought that total troop count would be an interesting way to rank alliances instead.

i have to say in my view there is one thing i feel you missed out about the servers being dead which in my opinion is even more important than the food issue. and that is players hitting people that have just started the game, now i know most people have gone through the stage of at least hitting one guy thats just that low it wasn't worth it mostly for the achievement (ill admit i have) but there are some players i see colonized players time and time again which you know there suzerain will never get anything from. thats why servers are dieing! because the new players to the server and to the game are losing what little troops they have and getting colonized.
what also doesnt help is when evony keeps releasing new severs so players dont try to fight there way out of the issue and get released. heck they will just get colonized by another one anyway. and if you have lost everything you might as well start on a new sever i mean at least you will be on the same level as everyone else.

So the ?free server? idea is gone

Lets face some age2 facts ----some issues here i saw from earlier in the thread

    • 1, levelling heros
    • 2,troop building
    • 3, npcs
    • 4,server merges<colonise servers>
    • 5,servers die out to fast

    Arguements for facts above

1, levelling heros is neither hard nor a problem-it just takes time young padwon

2, the troop building speeds are fine, if they were any faster, servers wud die faster = less money for evony...ie. wont happen , and when ur on a dead server<i was>you have plenty of time to spare and wont complain about time then, these times are universal and everyone has to deal with it - make the most of them, servers will die and u will wish it wast over so fast

3,npcs u make will disappear,if u have trouble with someone in your area farming them ?either move or take them out, its part of the game

4,server mergers for the old servers are possible in a sacrifice sort of way-from how i see it,but it probably wont happen, but ill show u my train of thought anyway

    <how to achive server mergers>

    A, delete all inactives,
they take up way to much room ?either done by hosts mailing evony staff inactives in there alliances or evony team put in a if inactive since XX/XX/XXXX delete feature r sumting like that

B,<the hard point> have members on the servers involved give up there HC
Now this is by far the hardest point, but lets face it, on a dead server, what good is a HC to you, and really they have paid themselves off at this point between drafts etc<maybe give up HHs........you`ll see why

C, have the people moved to a new server-one without HCs-or evony will just shoot themselves in the foot again when that server dies, besides, with peoples troop counts they`d be gone in a day-this makes it funner coz its REAL PvP ,who cud argue that that wudnt be fun/entertaining?

The HH roster on each server wud be scattered like they are on a new server<that is if everyone gave up there HHs-sure after day1 they wud all be gone ?but think of the amount of Advance ports bought, evony wud make a killer- ----and its all part of the new server buzz

But besides all that if u follow my plan what have you done?
Lost ur HCs/HHs and gained a new server thats easily maintained ,has greater wars, and best of all, is ACTIVE, its new so it will last for quite a bit of time-

some may think its not worth giving up there HCs, but really what good is having them now and what enjoyment do you get on dead servers?
All evony has to do is create a new server and move normal cities of known actives over in layman terms anyway that is
...but to get back on track to the problems above

5, servers die out to fast...well yes they do, but 2 main reasons i found for that is...

1, COIN No.1 ?some alliances are nothing but coiners and they start to dominate ,killing off the smaller alliances, -fair enough, thats the aim of the game,

but the problem is not because there coiners, but because every other big alliances wants to be friendly with them
-in the server im on now, 9 of the top 10 are friendly, and yet, people complain servers are dead?
If people would stop trying to save there alliances skin with diplomacy, there would be some great wars and stable servers instead of 1200+ players vs 100 type servers

2, MEDALS ...ah yes the good old debate, but lets try a new angle

Many free players leave because some prinzessain ports his 10 troop building cities in beside your 3<4 if ur lucky to have reached baron> and well, what chance have you really? Unless u have a good alliance to save you

But think, at an early stage ...from medal FARMING<not winging> u could get enough medals to reach a decent enough title and had maybe 5 or 6 cities pumping out troops instead of 2 or 3
Now u might hold up better and lets face it, you have a better chance of saving ur ar$e and staying active in the server

Many will debate that you aren?t farming enough as it is, but i myself farm 100 vallys a day in hope of finding an elusive rose medal, but for the past month and a bit, i have only found 1- i am a baronette as it stands and will be for the forseable future, , i would love to farm 10,000 valleys a day but work, collage and RL calls ,so increasing the amount of valleys i farm is not going to be able to happen

So really age 2 has 2 problems i can see, most of the rest we cud live with

1, server merges- possible with a bit of sacrifice from the players
2, medal drop rate-was changed before, can be changed again

Both solutions to those two problems are cheap and easy in a short amount of time and will generate a greater profit to evony with time

Spelling/grammer cud have been better but i hope the points i made out are clear enough

    now go some
    haters
    I Actually tested this fully.

I started on a Brand new server..... Did not spend a single cent..... i Medal spammed 16 hours a day from 4 cities ( I Managed to win 300 coins 2 times in the first week and 1,000 coins in the second week ) And bought my way to 4 cities as well as hero gear upgrades.....

I Spammed for medals from 4 cities.... 16 hours a day... on average 300 valley hits every 30 mins..... And left EVERY medal obtained from them for 2 weeks while I built Enough Bally to farm Level 3,4 and 5 NPC's from 4 cities no stop

After 2 weeks of 600 Valley hits every hour X on average 16 hours a day I had a total of 13 lion medals, 17 rose, 39 cross

After 4 weeks of non stop Bally hits on level 3,4 and 5 NPC's I had 9 Honor medals, 27 freedom, 13 wisdom and 22 courage

No that is non stop hits 16 hours a day for 2 weeks and 4 weeks ( Average only 20 level 4, 33 level 3 and 14 level 5 NPC's an hour )

Considering Over 3/4's the server was attempting to farm medals as well My Results err on the high side....

Now most AgeII P_layers only play on average of 4 hours a day tops..... Due to work, Uni, College or other real life demands.... So if you you divid my results in 4 that is what the average person will get

Now factor in the time it will take a non spender to be able to have enough cities just to defend them selves from heavy coiners and you are looking at 6 months to a year..... 2 months just to complete Military Techs.... BUT That said even with All Military techs at 10 a heavy coiner can port in and scout bomb 300k Archers away in 2 100k Scout bombs.... Less if their star set is 12 or higher

Considering More cash on AgeII coms from Hero gears and gems for star upgrades one would think evony would change the medal drop rates as the more cities people have the more people WILL Stay on a server and it WOULD encourage them to spend more as they are more easily able to get on equal footing regarding city counts so if they just spend a little cash here and there on gems they can get stars up enough to actually pose a threat

A Threat means more war.... Means more cash being spent both on gems and Adv Ports, More cash spent on gems and adv ports means more cash will be spent on gems and strats....

The truth of it is those who do not buy their ranks and titles can spend YEARS trying to farm the medals..... And considering you need to spend on average $400 just for a 12 star set after obtaining Complete level 10 hero gears.... For most players it is just not worth it

And NOW considering HC 12's drop within a week of server opening... HC 14's 2 weeks later... HC 16's 2 weeks after that Why would a non spender stick around when they can not get past 2-4 cities when heavy coiners already own the state caps and draft the small amount of troops they can make in their 2-4 cities?

What is Killing ageII is the take attitude of evony
But if evony just tweaked a few things to ALSO Give non spenders a chance servers would be more lively... Have more wars as What causes the mass Friendlies to happen is heavy coiners teaming up not wanting to compete.... Then everyone rushes to join those Alliances so they don't get owned.... Then those Alliances suddenly need sisters cause too many people want to join

More people playing with more cities means more wars as people would be less intimidated ..... As it stands a heavy coiner CAN AND DOES produce more troops in a day than some 100 member Alliances TOGETHER within 2 weeks......

And believe me I have played from a coiners view and a non coiners view.... Playing from a non coiners view is Just about impossible on AgeII as you are either the fodder or the farm....
