Lol its not so much that the patch is making players angry its the lack of warning that they will add a new patch! honestly they have no communication what so ever with any player they get on when they feel like it and rarely do anything! honestly i can almost bet my life this game wont last a year if they dont start communicating with the players. I mean damn at least the "so called crappy game" runescape has a warning on the updates and they talk to their players and allow them to put some input into the game! Honestly i would rather spend my time on runescape then here!

The fact that they are based in China does not excuse them.

They want to support a game in a largely English speaking market. That requires communication skills in English.

Is this just theory, or are you speaking from experience?

Why don't we wait to see the actual numbers to see how much this impacts us. It'd be good if anyone wants to volunteer to test lvl 9 walls and 10k ATs.

I have lvl 10 walls but it'll be about 36hours before my ATs are done. I'll offer up co-ords then to anyone who wants them

It's never been about "warning." Stop changing the topic. Had you been given "warning," you would have started bashing the devs earlier. That's the only difference.

First and foremost, they are doing their jobs. They are working. The latest barrage of patches (and their complexity) proves the devs just don't have time to come onto the forums and chit-chat with angry mobs of players.

Secondly, the volume of work (for those who understand the details of game design) is enourmous. The math skills required to perform many of the (f)unctions is mind-bending.

Lastly, judging by the workload, the devs probably haven't slept in a week. Kudos, Dev Team.

Now, we have the patch notes as well as information posted on the log-in screen. They are communicating the best way they know how: through the game itself.
to much of anything is bad my friend, glad you support the Devs, but if you have a bottle of ketchup do you use the whole thing on ur burger,of course not, point being, spending ALL of their time tryin to fix shyt, and NONE of their time talkin to the players, thats the way to lose us all,you can "patch" and "fix" till the cows come home, but if you dont TALK to your people, will there be any to "fix" this for? my guess is not

Allocate time for the players as well, not just the "attempt" to fix the game(as there are to many bugs to be fixed) cause the PEOPLE are actually what keeps the game goin, right?

As I am a mod I'm probably going to get some response like "oh they pay
you in-game" or "sucking up to your boss" etc. Truth of it is I'm just a
normal user like you no special treatment in-game.

As far as the game goes Kempion has some really great points. As far as
bugs and glitches some are affected more than others, true, but there
hasn't been enough loss/downtime to make me personally want to quit. And
they are continuously adding to the game and trying to fix what happens
over time. Looking through code is really really time consuming and difficult
the more advanced the code is. Not to mention server-end issues and
compatibility, and the fact that as much as they advertised, I don't think
they expected as much draw as they got so they are trying to
compensate. Whether you agree with their strategies or not,
they are obviously working on things.

The communication should be stepped up a notch, yes. Advanced notice of
things and simple little add-ons that could make the users/mods/etc more i
informed and armed to compensate or help other users.

They need more staff, plain and simple. Someone with a fresh perspective
that can bring the forum ideas to the table and decide where to go from
there. Many of us are against opening up other servers if they aren't going
to close the old ones, but that is a business decision and we don't know
the obstacles for fact on their end. I know everyone's been really uspet
lately and I know there have been times when I myself have nearly blown
my lid in the privacy of my own home in a panic at my losses. But it's a
game, and you calmly remind yourself of that, and move on.

That's my 2 cents, feel free to bash it to bits it's only an opinion!

    Compliments of the wonderful Warsimi!
