That's retarded. Everyone knows that once your ranged units are killed, the others just march to their deaths. This won't change that, since ranged units on walls will still destroy the ranged units that are the incoming attack...and then pick off the rest of the troops at leisure.

Can I get back my two weeks worth of Ballistas, since your sorry you didnt communicate the change. Can you suggest how I am now to feed my army since I cant farm barbs ( for one all my ballista are gone) and I cant farm players becuse their walls kill everything. Are you even looking at the battle reports being posted, armies are dying, balanced armies as you call them. Change the game back.

Yeah, it would help a lot of people to talk about the changes beforehand.

    Thumbs down 24hrs?? LOL

twenty-four hrs? So in that time they can what buy dynamite destroy half the cities they own and rebuild so they can be ready for what your doing? Suddenly destroy 500k troops to keep from starving the rest of the army to death? Click X on the qued training just to lose all the resources they dumped into it? You guys better do alot more thinking around the table, like maybe putting it out a week or more ahead of time. See, World of Warcraft used to patch once a week, and it was HORRIBLE, they screwed up almost every patch major issue's. They figured out hey, we need to take a little more time before changing the game all the time like this. You guys should do large patches/changes several weeks apart at the least, with informing the community LONG LONG before implementing it.....

Yeah, but it's not very often you actually see Dawnseeker online. I know it's hoping against better judgement...

These notes will be sent out via in-game mail and posted on the forums. The only exception will be emergency patches.

We have been looking at ways of balancing the farming of NPC cities and this is the solution that was arrived at. We believe that this is a fair method, because it allows NPCs to be attacked and plundered for resources, but not without losses, as happened before.

We want players to have methods to get large armies, but we think you'll agree that you should have to use that army in your battles and that some losses will occur. Very high level NPC cities were never intended to be easy targets for plunder, but are intended to be some of the greatest challenges in the game. It should not be a light decision on whether or not to attack such a tough target.

Thanks for understanding, and thanks for playing!
so how exactly does this level the playing field? and for those that have taken level 10 NPC congrats but the lower players will still be used to feed the large armys. only a complete restart of the server will give you a level playing field. think about it please all the large army players have been able to take advantage of the "loopholes" and the fixes have always made the lower players targets with no way to compete. there should at least be a morale % if they attack lower prestige players. otherwise you are going to have the top 10 alliances feeding off the smaller players with no hope to become big players.

a patch fixes but does not correct the fault.

    cheers more beers
