Not sure what u are doing but a cataphract costs me 9m16s to build and a ballista 20m40s. Roughly 10m for a cataphract is 6 per hour, ballista is roughly 3 per hour....

So, goodbye to Evony, it could have been fun, but you never really gave it a chance. And this was the final straw.
The Evony team really should start catering to the dullards, for a small fee. Even if they started charging just a single 'dolare' for every dullard on these forums. They'd have a lot of dullard's 'dolares'. Of course, they'd have to figure out the conversion rate of dullard 'dolares' to 'dollars'.

Haha, This guy...amuses me to no end, I swear it.

I actually think that he's under order to argue with us in favor of the devs.
I'm certainly not a 24/7er, I simply keep Evony open in a FF tab and play when necessary. Does this make me a 24/7er? A greiver? A ganker? (what that is, I'm not sure.)

I play my fair share and I want my cut of enjoyment. What you call exploits, I call strategies. For them to just be cut and folded out of the game is ridiculous no matter how you look at it.

Furthermore, some of these players that are quitting now have spent hundreds (thousands) of dollars on this game, and they're now being driven away by these...fixes.

Also, these fixes aren't "Evening the playing field" an incredible amount either, since higher-up players are attacking weaker players, not necessarily even for food anymore, mainly just out of spite.

At any rate I stand by my point that these mods are nothing more than simply lousy, untested number-juggling. I don't care how "long and hard" the devs had to work to screw this game up, but unless they're doing something productive, it's probably best that they just kick back and relax before they nerf something else...although not many things come to mind that are left.

Are your dev's nuts?!!! I mean, are they trying to drive this game into the ground??? Tell them if they want to see how a game can go to the crapper from these types of changes, keep making them, because i am giving this game 3 months max, and there won't be but the daily few newbies who register to see what the game is about, and after playing for a week, maybe even two, they too will leave this game and never come back. Why don't the dev's listen to the players? Some of us have some amazing idea's on how to make this game fair... how to improve what isn't that great, and most of us have been gaming for years, and know these types of games very well. Dang, sad sad sad, i really used to enjoy Evony.

Too little, too late, Dawnseeker. I know you're just the go-between, and I'd REALLY hate to be in your shoes right now, but please, for the love of all that's holy, DON'T INSULT OUR INTELLIGENCE. It's been weeks since we received a system mail where the devs apologized for the lack of communication and promised to work on that. It had to come down to this for you to FINALLY realize your communication skills are NON-EXISTANT and promise (once again) to change that?
By the way, making smart-ass comments such as "it's a secret", while clearly meant to be humorous, are not amusing. For ONCE, COME CLEAR! The patch notes are vague as all hell, at best. I understand that language can be a terrible barrier to overcome, but hey, English is not my first - or even my second - language, but I try as best I can to convey my points CLEARLY.
I'm sorry, I've lost all faith. "Shoot first, apologize MUCH later" has been the motto of this company, and I don't see it changing any time soon, no matter how much you reassure us of the opposite.

Their 50 game cents won't buy back my trust on the devs. At best, I can spend them on the WoF. Oh wait, I forgot. They kinda sorta broke that, too.

In the future, we will always provide patch notes at least 1 day in advance, so you will be able to prepare for, and anticipate, the coming changes. These notes will be sent out via in-game mail and posted on the forums. The only exception will be emergency patches.

We have been looking at ways of balancing the farming of NPC cities and this is the solution that was arrived at. We believe that this is a fair method, because it allows NPCs to be attacked and plundered for resources, but not without losses, as happened before.

We want players to have methods to get large armies, but we think you'll agree that you should have to use that army in your battles and that some losses will occur. Very high level NPC cities were never intended to be easy targets for plunder, but are intended to be some of the greatest challenges in the game. It should not be a light decision on whether or not to attack such a tough target.

Thanks for understanding, and thanks for playing!
Thank you for the info regarding providing the patch notes at least 1 day in advance. It's good for starters. Will be expecting proper meal sooner or later
