Thread: The Most Epic Nerf Ever

Default The Most Epic Nerf Ever

So, I was farming and this happened

    http://battlena25.evony.com/default....7bc97cedb9.xml

Now I say that the hero has 275 attack and 85 intelligence.

Then I'll give you this formula

( max units = (Ld*10+150)*Ld. 1% penalty to INT and ATT for every 1k Units over max units)
    (reference : http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?t=153113)

So essentially my queen has 43 leadership.

    (43 * 10 + 150) * 43 = 24940.

    I sent 100k troops.

    100 000
    -24 940
    -------
    75 060

If we divide 75k troops by 1k we get 75, thats 1% of intelligence and attack multiplied by 75.

    Essentially :

    (275/100) * (100 - 75) = 68.75 attack.
    (85/100) * (100 - 75) = 21.25 intelligence

(I wonder what would have happened if I sen 125k troops.. hmmm)

Suddenly that 85 intelligence that I had to make Pikemen and the 50 needed to make swordsmen really tank like is missing.

If done with a level 100 hero, if I send 125k troops, its a 10% Nerf, which doesn't sound like much initially, but WAIT!

if I took over a HC and send a wave of 156k troops, its a 41% Nerf.

So you might be trying to figure out what exactly that means?
It means even if you spent a bunch of money and had max everything with a hero with 70 attack at level 1 at level 100 they only would have 925 attack. If you happened to attack with this hero from a HC, with a 41% nerf only 545.75 attack. (Reference : http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?t=142429).

So in other words, there are only 620~ HH on a server. If 1 person could have 1 HH then only 620 people could have them, of course, we know this isn't how it works. 1 person can have up to 50 of them. In fact there is an achievement encouraging 1 player to get 50 of them; however, for the sake of argument, only 620~ people can have an HH.

Isn't that completely unfair to the rest of people?
Whenever I go to attack a person who actually does have an HH to go get one, I'm already nerfed, I send 125k I have a 10% hero nerf even at level 100.

while they not only have a historical hero that already has way higher base stats than my normal hero but they can also have a higher level, and wait, its not over yet! They have a BASE Leadership value that is WAY higher than anything ANY hero can ever compare to!?

It means even if I have a significant amount of troops more than my attacker, as long as he has an HH I'm basically dead.

At any rate I'll stop complaining because I know forum people bash complainers a lot here and because I suppose I could do this all day, does anyone have any views?

Whether To fight until there is no one left
    Or
To die fighting by someone stronger
That is not for me to decide
However I will fight you until one of us ceases to exist.

Everything you concluded is true. I concluded the same thing myself.

You have to do something about it now. Historic heroes give you an advantage in the game, so make it a long term project to get one. Create a list of HH's on your server and track them to find a inactive one.

Until you get it done, the only way to somewhat minimize your disadvantage is to train troops that pack more punch.

The leadership stat, in combat, is more important than attack. Besides, even if you get a HH with a (low) baseline attack of 35, once leveled up, he will match your queens attack but be superior to because of the leadership.

When sending waves from a normal city, your regular heroes aren't too much of a handicap. In defense, though, definitely. An HH defending, compared to a regular hero, depending on his leadership and the defending troop count can cost the attacker 50% more troops to defeat you. So, instead of losing 500k troops, the attacker is facing a potential loss of 1 million troops and might call of the attack because of these losses.

I think the queen should have a base of 100 leadership. At least this way people would be so insanely overpowered and there would be at least a way for you to fight against http://battlena25.evony.com/default....2affdec259.xml

Not going to happen though. So you need to build up and pry a HH off of someone.

Build 200k balista along all other troops and get it done. Don't wait for evony to balance things out.
