I came across it by accident when I was attacked a few months ago... and you got to have a certain number of traps in defence, but dont bother asking me for the exact number of traps as I will never tell... its my secret lol, I'm just wondering if anyone else knows about it as I only know of 2 other ppl that do, one of which is old Mrs Green down the street...
LOL!!! Nice one. You have inspired me...

I know of a super-sekret, super-strong attack. Destroy ALL your academies, and tear down ALL your rally points to level 1. You need to have a cumulative army in all your cities of MORE than 33,333,333 troops. Now you can send a full attack(10,k from a level 1). The attack will do the damage of 100,k troops of the same mix, with techs of all 10's. You aren't guaranteed victory, but you will get the most bang for your buck from each unit. Noone knows about this, but my neighbor's dog told me about it last night. I have every confidence it will work. If you successfully implement this strategy, then please contact me. I have bridge for sale in New York that you might be interested in.

if you have 100k archers you need 300k warriors and 200k swordsman. i think having some cataphults and ballista will also help but idk.

The most likely of the two ways that this occurred were that the attacker had a compass below 8, which would cause the scouts to take multiple turns to reach pace zero, thereby allowing the warriors to become targeted as the archers, which would see the scouts in range, would not move. The archers would level the scouts in 1 round but the warriors might move into the scouts' range and come under attack.

The other way would be what was already stated; that the scoutbomb added some other unit to the attack, thereby causing the battle to last more than one round. Either way is possible; both would mean the OP is wrong (but that's a given regardless as he talks about 'secret layerings' which just don't exist--again, the game's mechanics have been largely solved, and they're based on mathematical algorythms rather than plucking a number out of air and saying 'if he has exactly this then this happens')
I agree with supbates first option here. The attacker had a compass lower than 8. I've seen this before when I got scout bombed on a newer server so I'm almost certain this is what happened to the OP.

ya i knew about this secret. i also know about this secret attack combination where if you use this specific mix of troops to attack it will not only kill all of the other persons troops and walls, it will also kill the player irl. i know about it because a couple weeks ago someone used it on me twice, but i won't tell anyone what the combo is except for flipper and papa smurf

Scoutbombs attack the group with the largest attack area in the city. By that I mean they will target 300k warriors in preference to 100k archers, because although individual warriors are weaker than individual archers, there are more warriors by volume and the extra attack afforded by their superior quantity means that the scoutbomb will target them first.

If you had 300k swords, 300k warriors and 100k archers, then the swords would get hit first because they're stronger than the warriors. Repeated scoutbombs would target the swords until their total attack value drops below that of the warriors and then it would alternate between the two groups until their total attack values dropped below that of the 100k archers. Then it's a 3 way tug of war.
