    Talking wooow!!!!

here are pics of stats in server 147 (which started 1month ago), server 145 (2months ago) and ss1 (1year ago, 7 servers merged in which started 6 months before the merge, so a total of 18 months). Notice the heroes difference!!!!!! HOW COME!!!
Server 148 started 4 days ago, the best hero is already 900 atk lol!!!
i dont think that we can spend 700*10$ to lvl em up even if we want to throw money down hole.

1st saling anything for money in not allowed, and 2nd u have 2 pay $2k plus what the amount of money it take to become a prinzessian and the money for national medals. And buying an account for 4k is just dumb since its just a game.

I was going to start an alliance on the new server, but when I saw the stats next day, I was like "This is insane" and instantly quit the new server.

I'm gonna stick to the server were at least I have a moderate guy built up.

That's primarily what you have on any of the newer servers anymore...people who play spend-to-win...

The difficulty in getting going without spending money is very high. You either have to win cents or medal boxes from the wheel to become Baronet in any kind of reasonable timeframe. If you try to go about it "the old-fashioned way" of attacking valleys instead of the shop, you typically end up being steamrolled by those who have bought their way ahead of you. Once you get wiped out once, it generally happens again, because now you're even further behind, and people scout you and realize that you're a super-easy target...

I'm 4-for-4 on getting clobbered by coiners on these newer servers. No matter the tactic I used, I simply could not get to be strong enough to defend just 2 cities, which made the game absolutely no fun at all.

What the company doesn't understand is:

    1) Being forced into only having 1 city for months on end isn't fun.
    2) If a player isn't having fun, they tend to not continue to play, just like I don't play on those 4 newer servers anymore.
    3) If people stop playing, that means that they won't be spending money.
    4) As fewer people are spending money, revenue decreases.
    5) Even if some people are spending large amounts of money, they don't generate as much revenue as a significantly larger number of people spending money.
    6) As the people in item 5 have fewer and fewer targets to pounce on, they too will start slowing down their spending.
    7) The game will become too expensive to operate because the revenue streams have dried up.

Evony will need to make a choice at some point. Cater to the majority of players who, like myself, spend a "reasonable" amount of money to enhance and enjoy the game. Or cater to 1 person who RUINS THE SERVER (148) FOR EVERYONE with a rediculously stupid purchase that basically enables him to "buy the server".

I know you wanna make money Evony. But you have to put the "good of the whole" ahead of "the one" who is ruining it for all.

Personally, If I get killed by this guy........... "THIS CUSTOMER" will leave Evony for good.

Yeah, I've been clobbered by the super-mega coiners early on in just about every server I've ever played. Looking back, I actually don't mind it so much. I just remember their names and come back for 'em later when I've grown big and strong . The old, "Remember me? Payback's a , ain't it?" routine. Of course, most super coiners move from server to server and it's hard to catch 'em before they're gone, but at least they've removed themselves from being your problem and become someone else's instead.

Imo, the best way to avoid becoming their target is this:
    1. Build yourself up while in BP. This'll boost your pres and help you get in a solid alliance if you don't already have one. HOWEVER, once you've gotten your alliance, start dumping pres like a maniac. Someone with only 400 pres isn't even worth the troop marching time.

    2. It's fine to play the market while you're in BP, but as soon as you're out of it, spend everything you've got. Don't be the idiot walking through the projects waving a big wad of cash, if ya know what I mean.

    3. Keep your town hall as low as possible so that you look weaker than you are. People will often scan the map looking for anybody with a th higher than 3 and then look at their pres to see if they're worth scouting.

    4. Focus on your ATs and archery research, since it takes about 5 archers to kill 1 AT with acceptable losses...and unlike troops, ATs don't eat!

    5. Only build your b5/b10 fields after you've seen other people building theirs (you don't want to make your fields so pretty that everybody wants to steal them until you can defend them). You may even want to build a lvl 3 field first so that you can grow strong on it and then port out when ready to farm 5s. I've never heard of anybody willing to fight over a b3 field.

    6. Consider building a stone city for your first or second one. Stone trades well for the first few weeks and people don't really get excited about stealing and remodelling them.

Essentially, you're making yourself the least attractive target around. Yeah, they're gonna kill people, a LOT of people, but you don't have to be one of those people.

I lost a city in the first month of the server I'm currently on and it had my best poli hero, my 2nd best attack hero, and my intel hero. It was a CD (which I normally find to be decently good protection on a new server when very few people have the troops to break it). UNFORTUNATELY, he was a big spender and, although it certainly put a dent in his troop counts (he actually mailed me and told me he was looking forward to fighting me when I'd had a chance to build up, lol), it wasn't enough to stop him from capping and porting it out while I was sleeping Yeah, it was hard to come back from, but not the end of the world. It's just a game, after all. It's meant to be fun most importantly. If it's not fun for you to play anymore, I guess I understand, but for me it wasn't enough to break the addiction. Port if you have to...he's only 1 man and can only have 10 cities total so what are the chances that he'll end up near you? Besides, I dabbled on 148 and it looks like there's really only 2 alliances spending unreal (to me) amounts of money there. Figure out where they live and STAY AWAY. You can always go back when you're strong.

You forgot the absolute best way: Don't play at all.

The problem is Evony does not comprehend this reaction of not playing. They think that people will continue to flock to every new server out there and go through the same song and dance every time... There comes a point where it is simply not enjoyable, and that's when people can no longer be bothered with it...

The game should be about Player vs. Player interactions, but in a quest for more money, they have made it into:

"Player vs. Environment while trying one's best to avoid being trampled by a player who bought their way past the Player vs. Environment stage of the game"

A lot of people, if not most people, eventually tire of being trampled and just give up.

Evony's employees cannot comprehend that when I and others bring up stuff like this, we're actually talking about the long-term survival of their company and their paychecks. Oh well. Maybe someday they'll listen...but I doubt it.
