If dying feels anything like I did once I had anaesthetic in me before I went in for my throat operation i've got nothing to worry about

All I can remember is mumbling that in a few minutes I would be asleep and then my consciousness just fastforwards to me waking up and thinking i'd been asleep for hours and hours when it was just over one.

I'm guessing death is a bit like that minus the retaining consciousness phase; the unfortunate problem with this is that we can only speculate what actually happens.

Without life, death is also meaningless. They are two sides of the same coin... or, being that there are so many of us, the same side of two coins.

However, much of human existence is defined by our search for answers about death. Some (not me) would say that religion itself is a product of this quest; my own thought is that philosophy instead is humanity's first answer - that the prisoner finds consolation therein, to abuse a classical metaphor.

As such, I'd consider it an actual harm to answer that question. Which, as you'll see from my earlier post, is why I haven't answered it.
