    Default Alliance Mergers, good

For some reason there is this stigma in Evony that alliance mergers are "defeat" or something. Look, think about it like basketball.
If you like playing basketball then you go to the park and play on the public courts. You join whatever team is playing. And when most people on that team get tired you can simply join another team if you want to keep playing ball. Or if people on one team are more strong than the other team, players are traded to help balance the teams.

I often hear "If we merge I quit" or something. Well if you think like that then stop being a kid and learn to play on the public ball courts.

Also, WHY do you want to merge? To maintain dominance so the game is less competitive? On the ball court players from one strong team never team up with other strong players in order to create a dominate team. That is lame, because they will dominate the game and it will be no fun. They try to keep the teams as balanced as possible so everyone can get a good game. Players in Evony need to think the same way and stop trying to be dominate. Because when dominance happens bordem follows.

Basketball is like war. If you lose, you have to join the opposing team.

Sorry JP the title of this thread seems to suggest you support mergers now, but the content loses its way a little, are you now supporting server mergers, or just doing another piece of vanity posting to see your name appear?

    I'll admit, I chuckled.
Apparenely that's what usually happens in this game. Hey, if you lose go join the winning team until there are no losers left....

Alliance mergers and/or team redistributions, yes. Server mergers no.
Servers mergers are like merging basketball courts and just making a bigger court. It does not improve the game or make the teams more equal.
Alliance mergers and redistributions are like players on a public ball court who shift teams around to keep the game going strong. Same court, same size. But new players walk in, old players walk out and teams constantly change as a result in attempt to maintain balance and competition.
A game is a game. Don't matter if it''s computer or RL.

I have never seen a merge that hasn't ended in too many players from both sides quitting... Personalities clash, people just don't want to merge. I find that the mixing of iron with clay very rarely creates some sort of supermetal. In the end, people just get annoyed and give up.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I agree with your concept here.

And I've always thought Basketball is a boring sport anyway, I play rugby instead

Well then you should pop your head into server Na4 and chjeck out what BlackOps is doing. The alliance BlackOps is a combined mixture/merger of about 3-4 alliances. The way we run it, no problems. Everyone seems happy. Been this way for over a month now. Reason is mainly because no one person is the "leader". That always causes a problem. The guys run the alliance as a board, like a business. Issues are voted on. The board works as a collective leader.

Then, congratulations for finding a system that works in your case, you'll very rarely find that to mean the same for everyone.

Tell that to Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.....hehehehe

For the record its not the mergers that are bad, in the end its the players who decide the fate of what happens to the merger alliance when everything is said and done.

regarding your original post pimp i'd like to say some people do form one strong team instead of trying to even things out its called playing competitive not recreational. i have done both and i'd be lying to say your right that people shouldnt try to form an all strong team especially since most play for money when it comes to playing on the court

these last few threads u made makes me wonder sometimes, they arent something a person who loves war would complain about

Do you think that someone from Japan is going to know who those three are?
